I agree, its now or never for Willie to prove to himself, he can still be a good player.
.
I do believe, his would love to have a kick ass season 😛ray: playing for wests-tigers, and when he does retire, he can be glad that he gave it his all, and will be remembered for that.

I just hope he is actually committed to the team and not just playing for himself.

I don't agree with this if true. I don't respect Mason as a footballer or a person and I cannot see any good coming with his signing. It won't be an autograph my kids will be adding to their shirts.

Not that I think he will make a noticeable impact to our team but if I had to choose i'll take the spoon each time.

My son says he is not supporting the Tigers till Mason leaves. He's devastated. He's only 11\. I kinda feel the same. I really don't think I'll be able to cheer him, even in WT colours. I know I always cheered when he got smashed in Aussie colours …

If you don't like him then so be it but i would rather not get a spoon and try and fix our foward problem. If he stuffs up fine hammer him then but i say let he's footy do the talking he deserves a chance. Glad the club is going to give him a go.

Suzie,
I agree with what your saying, but we will all say this until he has a few good hit ups, makes a couple of solid tackles or scores a try. You'll be surprised how quick you, your son and the rest of us will be cheering him on. The players are the ones that have to play with him, If the they can accept him we should as well.

The team is bigger than any one player… Players come and go, but (hopefully) there will always be a Wests Tigers.

I don't like Mason, but I support the tigers.

I didn't like the idea of Utai (circa bulldogs/coff harbour 2004) joining our team either, but have now gotten used to it, and now even met the guy and realize how down to earth and normal a dude he is, and not the hot-headed thug i thought he was.

Mason might be on the mend as well - have you noticed there has been no D**kh**d statements made by him in any form of the media? and his Twitter is completely cleaned up?

To not support the team because of a single guy in my opinion is heresy.

Here is a wonderful opportunity to teach your son that the bigger picture is sometimes more important.

The only player I would ever consider stopping my support if the Tigers signed was Dog Morrisson.

Everone else deserves a go.

What is the worst thing Mason has actually ever done?

IF he is to be signed he will be kept on a very short leash and on limited pay and he would be working to securing a spot. None of this would indicate the off field being an issue

I can understand an 11 yo feeling this way, Im sure youre more mature than that.

I guess if he set up the winning try in the GF for us youd still prefer the spoon eh?

Each to their own, its an opinion I cant understand

i hope he plays for us our forwards are struggling at the moment
he has played for Australia before he has a lot of experience

I don't get all the resentment towards O'Hara. To me he could never get a look in coz he wasn't one of Sheens 'boys'

There was more to O'Hara not being picked than being one of "Sheensy's boys", unfortunately for him he had an internal test that didn't go very well after partaking in recreational substances and after that he was on the outer.

Mason may not be the type of player you would want to have a beer with but I think he could add some much needed starch to our team.

It's a gamble no doubt. However he has a lot to prove. Its last chance saloon. At near his best he makes us better. Hope it works out.
