Willie Tonga

has sought a release from the cowboys..

should we go after him?

I dont think he would be worth the money for us but would be a good signing regardless

Im sure there will be others team willing to offer a much better deal then us considering the amount of quality players that we already have.

Tigers don't have the money for Tonga, I think he would be a handy signing though.

Because Gus is now helping them and they won't be able to tolerate his rambling monologues about how the football field is comparable to war….

I wouldn't, great attacking player, always troubles the defensive line, but with Ayshford and Lawrence on the rise and Daniela not far behind, I don't think we should make a play for him.

Cowboys wont just let him go this late in the year.
I would be interested but not for huge money and someone (souths) will throw huge money his way. As well as that hes injury prone, which is even more risk

Great player but we have more then enough options at center, if they were releasing matt Scott it might be a bit different…

I suppose 'IF' he wanted to come to us we could sign him on a second tier contract, this would give Western Suburbs Magpies some depth for 2011 and could be called on every now and again for 5 minutes in the NRL.

After the game on the weekend against the Kumuls, he has probably pip'd Lawrence for the Left Centre spot! I can't see him interested in any second tier contract or anything under 275k?!

spot on, i rate him highly.. i feel he's been suffocated in his play @ the cowboys.

however we have some depth and very good young talent, not worth the money on him.
He could be a good pickup for sharks or someone else, but he probably wants a decent club
