Win/loss record without Fulton

I am not saying Fulton is a dud, dont get me wrong, I believe he is a great player but do we seem to play better without him?

He tries his guts out week after week and is a solid defender. Unfortunately he adds nothing in attack. I can't see a place for him in the 17 when Siro comes back.

We didn't miss him at all on the weekend.

Name of the thread is 'win/loss record without Fulton', so what is it?
If it's a matter of opinion you are trying to gage then no, it's not that we play better without him

I would like too see some facts. I have been one of Liam's biggest critics over the years but this thread is pointless without facts.

Although I did notice that it was Liam's copybook, albeit ineffective, tackle that started the rot against the dragons.

With a fully fit team I can only see a bench spot at best for Fulton.
The only positive I can see for him is that the game is faster and he still can be used effectively.

In the early exchanges I would like to see our bigger stronger players start so we win the arm wrestle as we always get rolled with Fulton.

Unfortunately he tries his heart out and is a great club man but we have better options which is great for the weststigers.

One of the big myths on this forum is "our defence fell apart once Fulton went off". Im not saying he is a bad defender by any means, however people give him a stature that i don't think is backed up with any factual evidence.

I would probably still have him as a starter. However I don't like the mix at all with Thompson and Blair. Not enough impact there for mine.

In 2005 it was all about a lighter forward pack and Fulton shone. In 2014 its all about weight in the forward pack and unfortunately Fulton's light weight hinders his attacking ability as a forward..

Thats always been my problem with Fulton. He weight is a real problem for the balance of the side. When we had Ellis at his peak it wasn't too bad because Ellis could more than make up for it.

I really struggle to see where you fit Fults in.

We win a game and Fulton doesn't play and the haters start falling from the trees

The Titans were absolutely dreadful yesterday , one stat a bloke on the bus quoted was the Titans only completed 6 sets in the 1st half , in those conditions they had no chance with that ball control

We were made too look like world beaters yesterday

We didn't miss Fulton only cause I believe the Titans were very poor, he is usually tackling everything around the ruck. He would be in my 17.

Conditions were the same for both teams. Why do the Titans get an excuse? Would you be saying the same if the score was reversed? I agree it was not a true reflection but it was clear out defence was a lot more aggressive and together yesterday.

I'm not saying we didn't play well, cause we did.
I just agree with happy that the Titans did not seem interested, I was at the game and they were not talking amongst each other.

Our defence was more aggressive yesterday, mainly we were allowed to hunt as a pack… Titans attack was compressed for most of the game and you could've thrown a blanket over there forwards. I forget how many times Anasta & Thompson crunched players together but it was great to watch.

If we were required to make an additional 100 tackles, I doubt we would of been as effective. We wont get this luxury on Friday against Souths!

Yeah agreed x2

I think Fulton should definitely be in the 17\. But I don't like him starting with Blair and Thompson as together they are just not big enough!

And I think Keithy has more of an influence on team win/lose than Liam - or pretty much anyone else in the pack.
