Kepaoa is a real conundrum.

He does some really really good things. Then he just loses me with one or two dumb plays.

I think there is something there we should try to develop.

I think he will come good.

He needs to fix his attitude and be more urgent, and stop standing around watching when things go wrong. Mistakes are just practice, practice and more practice.

Did you notice the good work he did.

He takes a lot of dirty hit ups, can really whack in defense. gets quick play the balls. Gets through the tackle in traffic.

8 first grade games, there is room for improvement.

But like i said then he cant even catch and pass which has to be a concentration issue.

Happy to see him go back to State Cup and work it out but these calls that he just isnt up to NRL are off the mark.

You're living in a dream ole mate...
You can't fix lack of effort - And that's his biggest problem.
He did it in his early games and is still doing it. (It's been almost 12 months for him in firsts.
His mistakes are game breakers - and he doesn't earn them back.
The fact he never bothers to stop, turn and chase when he makes a mistake - That's what kills me... When he missed that Benji Pass last year, He ran for 15m past the ball (if not more) Running his momentum out like he was at training, Or in under 6's where the ref was going to blow the whistle and give the ball back to him.
**He is the most lethargic, unathletic looking winger I've seen in recent memory - Polynesian** outside backs coming through these days look like they could run up a wall... He doesn't look like he could jump a puddle.
He's made it this far because he's a decent size - And has been for some time.
The game has overtaken him and he'd best go back to Rugby while he might still get a run...
I've seen nothing to suggest he'll ever make it in the NRL.

I dont even need to respond to that.

Your post should be deleted.

Yep what a garbage post . A bit of closet racism thrown in there as well . He needs to work on his hands , but god that’s just verbal diarrhoea

I don't think we'll get Naden. Penrith are aware of his quality and Melbourne have sniffed around him in the past. Oates I'm not sure about but he's on a lot of coin for a winger and has a lot of issues with injuries, but when he gets it right he's unstoppable.

I honestly think Gebbie is worth waiting for. he used to tear up QLD Cup for fun. he seriously could be anything, just needs a few months to get his body and his timing right. as for AJ, he was better defensively yesterday but his handling isn't NRL standard YET. he'll get there, hopefully the 2 points has him feeling a bit better come Easter Monday.

Think Justin Olam but faster. The PNG players only know one way to play.

What about Tevita Funa from Manly

He or Morgan Harper from Manly can cover wing or centre. Good footballers.

Naden isn’t a winger he is a center.

Oates would take in an instant.

AJ if he can cut the errors out would be very good for us. He is clearly struggling with the speed of the game and needs to increase his urgency & focus.

Outside of AJ we are in all sorts as our options are nothing. Talau isn’t a winger we have seen that before no point going back.

I’m so confused by this guy. He actually looks the goods. Run hards, has a great step and has some pace. Just can’t catch the ball if his life depended on it. If we lose that game we would all be talking about how he cost us the game with that dropped ball with 5 to go.

Right, so you wouldn't be talking about the ball that Mbye couldn't grab and put down for a try!

Or the three other chances he didn't have a 100% go at.

I was surprised he got the nod ahead of Talau in round 1. He’s struggling big time. Robert Jennings would be giving us the same output atm.

Talau is NOT a winger.

We have moved on from him doing us a favour and holding down that spot.

Agree ..... we just need to be patient with what we have and can be developed via train on contract players.

I feel like the easiest option is Oates for Walters . The Broncos subsidise his salary they get the prodigal son , and we get a winger , who’s on the right side of 30. Oates’ issue is someone has convinced him to play as an edge forward , when he’s clearly a winger . No different to Feldt , Pat Richards , Willie Carne etc , these tall rangy wingers who could have played edge but they arnt suited to there . He needs to accept this fate , and invest in this . Otherwise he won’t play first grade again .

Not sure why people think Kepoa should be in the team because of his mid field carries. He can't catch the ball. He should be dropped. No question.

Also Gebbie didn't even do pre-season so I wouldn't hold your breath on him doing anything.

Also Daniel Tupou is off contract. He's the one we should be going after.

Give Cini his debut between now and then

Haze Dunster from the eels. Can’t get a run at the moment.

He will be in their team next year when Ferguson leaves, so he's probably waiting for that

He’s a better winger than AJ though

Alot of people forget Talau at wing dropping bombs and total lack of pace when he played there.

Cini cannot defend . He’s a turnstile

Gawd we need some pace out wide to stretch defenses. Oppositions are just compressing their line without the fear of us going around.

Old ham hands on the left needs a stint in the sauna & NSW Cup. Should also request a refund from that optometrist he visited in the off season.

Here's hoping Gebbie or Fitzgibbon develop nicely throughout the year.

Kiah cooper looked pretty handy on the weekend, not sure what his natural position is though

I could have the wrong player, but pretty sure he did well in the Manly trial also - including putting on some big hits in defense. I think he may come on at centre?

he is built more for centre yes, although cant remember him playing the FG trial

maybe if talau goes to wing..

He obviously is not an edge forward - I think he probably is done anywhere.

Really he’s only 26 is he ? Seems a bit premature to me

AJ shows potential but the silly errors in his game need to be rectified before he's considered a 1st grade main-stay.
Oates is the same player only he still hasn't gotten the dumb mistakes out of his game after how many years, so he's a no-go.
Tupou knocked back bigger offers last time he was due for contract renewal and we're done paying overs.
I think we should promote from within. Give Gebbie and time and try Cini or The Hoff for now and see what progress AJ makes in the mean time.

Back on the wing in reserve grade and doing quite well apparently. His push to play back row has cost him though
