He is half the size of Cam Murray so i suppose we could only expect him to be half as good.

I was thinking centre actually.....he is better defensively than any other centre we have and would not have the pressure of having to lead the team around and live up to all the hype that he has been saddled with in the past. Worth a shot with our season gone and Madge set to experiment for next season. Nothing to lose!

We can’t hide 30 blokes in the centres though

I used to think that that would be an excellent place for him. He has a good quick dart in him and would be a good third choice option as a kicker.
The only thing is he is not good enough passer. 🤭

The more I see of Brooks the more I think he is a winger at NRL level rather than a halfback. He is lightning quick as he was a former sprinter. He appears to get lost in the middle of the field. He has shown in the past he can cause more damage with his speed out wide then in the middle of the park. I think this would be a better idea then offloading him to another club and still paying most of his salary. Afterall he is a local junior. Probably worth the experiment since the season is basically done.

Agree with most too short for a winger.
He may be quick but we rarely see him use his speed.
Don't think he has the football brains to be a half as does not understand the game.

He has 3 more years on his contract its really Madge's decision to preserve or try and off load him.

Still remember watching him after a win and he was relegated to the Bench and how unhappy he seemed, and the reasoning was to watch the game and try and learn how to game manage.

He missed some tackles on the weekend that Madge would not have been happy with, he is not the worst player however like most of the team hot and cold.

Getting paid around $750k a season have to ? the ROI considering never made the 8 with him.
