Wingers Rd 1 2010

OH , and josh davis is a big barnstorming centre, who is also training with first grade , he's like the mick cronin, style of footballer, big strong and robust, can break a tackle and get a good ball away, seen him play on many occasions,h'es also knocking on the door of a first grade debut.

We'll see soon enough who has the goods to play on the wing alongside Ryan in round 1\. Personally I think it will be Pritchard or Brown and I don't think the Tigers will struggle to fill the wing spot adequately either way.

What the hell do you mean by saying junk wingers to start the year,YOU OBVIOUSLY dont know much about talent or football , Can you explain about who your refering to and why.?

Beau Ryan - decent in spirts. not classy but works hard. nothing against him but not brilliant.
Mitch Brown - preffered as a fullback, untested as a winger.
Geoff Daniela - couldnt get a regular start at Penrith and SHOULD be playing park footy come the end of this year.
Josh Davis - not tested at first grade and is known more as a centre.
Rhys Pritchard - not tested at first grade and will be lucky to keep his spot in the Magpies.

If these are our choices for round 1 then my comment stands and is accurate.

RHYS PRITCHARD 18th man in tigers last 2 games, played centre for NSW residents last year, leading try scorer for wests magpies state cup last year, best and fairest for wests magpies last year, currently training with first grade in tui"s position, fittest in the tigers club at present, has pace to burn, has bulked up as you would have seen the other night on summer time league, now i think next time you should do a little more research , and stop posting rubbish..

Come talk to me when he has played first grade and scored more tries than he has let in. Speak to you in Round 6 to see where he is at!!!

How is Grealy going these days....hes gunna be a gem....absolutely next australian fullback apparently. ahhhhh ha ha ha. Im not sure he ever played first grade.

Lets see what Pritchard does if ever given the chance.

Keep the names coming Tiger Rat. If you mention enough players you might eventually pick one that plays more than 20 first grade games in their career.

wow ,you seem very bitter about the tigers future players Is there ANYONE from the lower grades you think might have the slightest itsy bitsy chance of playing grade.? IF not why dont you go down to there training camp and let them all know..

Hey no one is saying Pritchard is world class but I reckon he could handle firstgrade. I have seen him play in State Cup for the Magpies many times and he is one of the best centres/wingers in NSW Cup without a doubt.

why did u forget Fitzhenry ???

and ffs most teams have rookie wingers out there in the opening rounds, its probley the easiest position to take the step up,also last time we let a rookie winger play in round 1 he scored the match winner

Fitzhenry is right in the mix…anyone who thinks otherwise will be in for a shock this season..
As i've stated earlier....Tuiaki will be lucky to get his jersey back. His road to recover is gonna take a fair while. Just think of the 105kgs+ compounded by the effect of running on it.

hopefully tuiaki and ryan/tupou

i'm really happy with the depth of wingers we've got.

plus there is also some talent in the 20's

Tiger Rat….i think you realise this and you are just trying to cause issues but let me clarify.

Im not talking about players who have an itsy bitsy chance of playing first grade. My original message was regarding ready to go, top level talent. Of which we only have Tui as a winger and Ryan as a solid type player. Im certain most of these guys you mention will get a run at some stage but ive been speaking regarding winger we have that can compete with the likes of the Morris bro's and other top class outside backs......of which, my comments are extremely accurate.....we have none with Tui out!!!

What I don't understand is that in 2008, when Beau Ryan was very ordinary, people on here raved about him. Last year he became a very good winger, and people said he was crap.

The way I see it, when everyone is on board, Tuiaki and Ryan are without question our 2 best wingers.

Ayshford, Lawrence…....outside backs?

Wouldn't swap them for either Morris.....

Winger's....well lot of expirence in Fitzhenry.....

but .....what we have are young blokes busting to have a crack.....lets see how they go before judging whether they're up to it or not....

Nor would I.

The Morris', both good, solid 1st graders, turned into overhyped 'rep' players, because the Daily telegraph gets a hard on by the whole twin novelty.

what would u guys think of taumata playing wing? its not that crazy of an idea is it? in 08 with hanbury he was the main playmaker alongside louis with balmain and he ended up on the wing and at fullback with us..taumata would also bring alot of pace to that side of the field.

Nope, he won't be playing wing. It's not the craziest idea I've heard, but it simply won't happen. He's training in the halves and that's where he'll stay.
