Wish I was a fly on the wall...

I was lucky enough to snag a mate's ANZ Gold Members ticket to the Grand Final yesterday.
I was seated up on western side, level 4 bay 437\. I usually just grab a category 1 or 2 ticket so for me this was a treat.

The seats were amazing as I was surrounded by a host ex players like Luke Burt, Colin Best, Dean Young and Ben Hornby. A host of other NRL identities, politicians ie O'Farrell, Abbott and Gillard. I even was a row away from Joel and Benji Madden from Good Charlotte after they took their seats from their per-match gig (which was amazing live!).

But what intrigued me the most was spotting Tim Sheens in deep conversation with Steve Noyce and Junior Pearce.

Were Sheens and Noyce having a b!tch about their respective boards? Were they all reminiscing about '05\. Was Pearce interviewing Sheens for the NRL CEO role? (Lol), the test match, Coaching positions, players, who has the hottest WAGS?

Anyway I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in that conversation…

I think they'd just be catching up about '05 and having worked together in the past.

I doubt Sheens would be discussing recruitment for a club that doesn't want him to coach at the Grand Final

Yes you do considering you felt it worthy enough to start a thread about and then getting uppity when people say that it sounded meaningless

Noyce probably felt the roosters were becoming a bit stale and needed some advice on rearranging the gym.

Sheens was obviously telling them the reason he was moved on was because Humphreys and him had had an argument about where the new bench press was going to go, Sheens wanted the left hand side next to the bikes and Steve wanted the right hand side next to the treadmills.

Why do some people feel the need to comment on a thread that they obviously have no interest in. The old saying that if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all.

What's worthy enough to start a threat champ?

Not sure what you would start threat's over, but theres plenty of legit topics that are worthy of threads

Thank goodness people care enough to post in threads they feel shouldn't exist….

I'm gonna go start a thread saying that Tommy should come back and play halfback next yr. By the logic some people are using in this thread, if you disagree i'm sure you'll be kind enough to leave your negative remarks at the door

Since when is it wrong to disagree with the point of a thread :crazy

No idea why you are so offended LaT 😕

The conversation probably meant nothing. Hope that doesn't offend anyone :unamused:

I'm not offended, I'm just wondering why your input was needed on a topic you felt was unneeded? Did you just need to jam something in so we all felt your indifference?
