Hindsight is a wonderful thing, losing Fifita was not such a terrible decision at the time. You can't continually re-sign players on potential. At the end of his Tigers tenure, Fifita was overweight, lazy and selfish on the field. (Trying to score from dummy half himself on the last play against the Roosters in 2010 at Campbelltown just burns into memory).
We got Blair to fit into a pack with Ellis and Heighno and had Woods and Galloway who at the time were better players. It's simple facts.
Besides Laffranchi, Prince and Richards (who all wanted to go), Fifita is probably the only player we lost who really pained me upon leaving the club.
Players like Bronson Harrison went ok for a short period but we had cover.
