Without Cronk, Slater and Smith

I really do think we should hammer these guys without their 'big 3'

Last time I recall them playing without them was in Rd 26 last year vs Roosters, when Bellamy rested Slater and Smith as they had already secured the MP and were preserving energy for the finals. They were battered by I think 40-8 by Roosters team who'd struggle to compile wins all season and finished about 11th.

They were directionless, lacked conviction and most of all leadership. They're still not to be underestimated, as you don't with any team, but we should win this.

Thoughts?

I think this is shaping as one of our most important games of the year. With the top of the ladder as congested as what it is and with a number of teams having the bye next week whom we're equal with its vital we walk away with the 2 points to maintain our contact with the top 4\. I don't think we can afford to be complacent as Melbourne are well drilled across the park. If we roll out an 80 minute performance like we did last night then we should have no problems.

do not under estimate storm team which will be field on fri night.
even without their main 3 players, they are capable of pulling down pants of opponents and embarassing them.
they have done it before and can do it again.
lets just hope its not against wests-tigers.

Gotta remember guys, we will _potentially_ be without Farah, Woods and Galloway.

Bell , BMM, will need to step up.

Difference with the roosters game is that Pearce, myles and mini (their origin players, played), for this game we too will be without farah and most likely woods, which makes it a lot closer and more equal..
They have lost more than us for this game but nonetheless will be more equal than ppl think

Well, neither Galloway or Woods were selected.

Ensures we'll have more of the same 'go foward' for Friday. I hope both take it personally and take their respective games to even loftier standards than what we've seen over the past few weeks.

We showed against the Warriors we can still maintain a solid attack structure without Robbie therefore I see no reason why we can't post a win on Friday.

If our pack keeps rolling forward on the back of Woods and Galloway, we should post points. Provided we keep mistakes to a minimum and aim up in defence, we should win comfortably.

Need to put a lot of pressure on Widdop, without the big 3 he is the guy who can win it for them. When they beat the Roosters without the big 3 last year he was the one that won it for them. Shut him down we're half way there.

Without the big 3, they are a very average side, we should win easily, that said, there is upsets every week, so we still have to go out and do it.

I reckon we will about $1.50 on the tab

Don't underestimate Melbourne or Bellamy

He will have a simple game plan and he will back his defence to be better than ours

I reckon this will be a really dour affair and will be surprised if more than 35 points is scored in total

Tigers 17-10

I really wish we were playing them at full strength, tbh. This would've been a crackerjack game with both teams in great form, but once again, Origin has ruined it.

Looking at Melbourne's highlights against the Warriors, their attack all stemmed from around Smith, Cronk and Slater, with Cronk and Slater in ominous form. The Storm will definitely miss them, but they'll still have an excellent defensive structure so they won't be easy to crack at home IMO.

I do view it as a must-win game for the Tigers given the circumstances.

Yeah they were definitely losing that game against the warriors until Slater and Smith showed up. We're gonna be playing a team with a reshuffled roster whose best player is Dane Nielsen. If we want to be taken seriously for the premiership we have to win this game.

Melbourne in Melbourne are hard to beat at any time …they still have there Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon card Craig Bellamy enough said it will be tough.

Your opinion will change on who is their best player after Friday Mistadobalina

Widdop is easily their best player when Smith ,Slater and Cronk aren't playing Nielson only looks good because he is outside the Big 3

Widdop has won games for the Storm when they aren't there off his own back .

Widdop is a gun player and caused the Tigers problems at Leichhardt last year. He'll step up no doubt, but the Storm do lose a few attacking options in Slater and Cronk. It's up to the Tigers to send traffic at Widdop and keep their defensive line in order all night.
