Woods on Cusp..

It makes sense that he would be the first announced. He's the captain, our only Aust rep, and is 2nd only to Rowdy as our longest serving player. PR wise its probably a good look that he commits then the others follow.

Maybe true, but me I would be happy for Teddy to be first

Was there ever any doubt Woods would stick around? Of course he will. Ted and Moses are the concerns. Brooks will if he gets paid overs because lets face it, if judging him on what's been produced on field so far, he's not worth anywhere near what the others will receive. He's just another half out there. Full of potential but at some point you have to get paid on what you do rather than what you might do. We need Nofa more than Brooks.

Sharks may have to pay similar to Ben Hunt's contract to retain Townshend. It seems the landscape has changed in terms of payments especially to NRL halves.

Demand and supply will ensure Brooks gets a juicy contract,of course that contract probably is a fair chance will be with another club. Iam sure the Dogs would be willing to part with a lot of cash to get a real no7 and I am not sure if we will be willing to break the bank in order to match any unrealistic offer.

Iam sure all the boys would like to stick together but money talks

This is the sad thing about the salary cap. An increase only really benefits a small portion of the playing group.

Townsend won't even go for half of what Ben Hunt did. Who else is in the market for Townsend that is going to push his price into that stratosphere?

Moses will end up at the Dogs before Brooks…

Really? How so? Surely the tigers would have him as a priority currently.

I mean't I believe we will retain all 5..but if I was to have a guess the Dogs would offer Moses much more than the would to lure Brooks…and of the 2 Brooks would be more likely to stay for less...

I also believe Moses would be more likely to chase the $$$

This is what I have been told by Sharks' supporters. Graham is also seeking a sizeable contract to stay at the Sharks.

I have a gut feeling Teddy's signing will be announced this week as part of a promotion exercise for our first home game at Cambo and maybe they will save Woods up till just before the first LO game. Anyway never count your chickens till they have hatched but got a good feeling about three of the four

I have been told that he has signed for two more years.

Let's see. Hope so.

Hope not. We want him tied up for longer than that.

Given Teddy's record with injuries he should really be looking for a four year deal just for that bit of security. However, he is on the cusp of becoming the next Billy Slater and if his form continues he will be in a position to ask for insane money by 2020

Townsend would be the perfect foil for Moses if Brooks were to leave.

Who would be the perfect foil for Brooks if Moses were to leave..?
