Unfortunately, I don't think Woodsie is quite up to Origin level yet. He offered nothing in his short stint in the first half and then we never saw him again! I was hoping that he would show us more in this game after the difficult circumstances of game 2, but alas he never quite got there and Daley was obviously reluctant to put him back on. I just hope he learns something from the experience and goes on to be chosen to represent again, although it's not looking likely at this stage.

Not much you can do in limited game time. How is he supposed to improve?
Poor decision by Daley to leave him on the bench imo

He was poor. Fifita was yet again something special. Fifita > Woods. It kills me. When we let Fifita go I thought Woods would be the better player and he might end up the better player but he has a lot of work to do.

He was terrible in that first 15\. I love the guy but perhaps Origin is just not for him.

He was disappointing in this series. Seems to lack the necessary agro at this stage. However, Farah is a good example of how a player can use that early failure to become a better player.

his stats were just as good as Tamou's(after the first 15), hard to show what you can do when the dickhead coach doesn't give you a run.

I feel for Aaron.

Game 1 was unavoidable as Qld blew NSW off the park.

But he seemed off the pace in game 2\. He was spent after 10 minutes.

I hope his papers aren't marked for the future.

As I said in other thread he seemed to struggle with the speed of the game

It can take time , wouldn't write him off just yet he is still very young

Woods would be better suited coming off the bench in Origin in hindsight. His style of running isn't suited to a high energy defensive front on gang tackling style as he likes to use late footwork to beat the front line, not brute impact strength. He was good in defense.

Daley didn't use him again because he didn't have to and all the other forwards looked like offering more.

Very disappointed with 'genius' LD, again he played Woods for only 10-15 minutes, probably he should do "Jamie Lyon" the next time.

Mate he got what his first 15 deserved. Im not an LD fan but I couldnt have brought Woods back on. His hit ups and failure to grass Thurston were very poor.

I thought he was on par with his peers when he was taken off in both games, no better, no worse. He plays at the same pace in all his games, but he can maintain it for long periods.

I never expected him to stand out, he is not that type of player. However, he was wasted in the role they used him and should have had some spark on the bench instead of him if they were going down this path.

From the outside looking in though literally the moment that Woods was replaced in both games NSW made their first incisive set of six. I'm not bringing this up to have a go at him, more that he has never been on the field when NSW had QLD on the back foot at all. He would be very effective in that situation. He was used incorrectly again, a shame.

Look Watmong was excellent when he came on , probably made it a tough call to bring Woods back on especially when NSW were chasing the win and chasing points

He was less to blame for that than bloody Tamou. Tamou had hold of him and let him go. In their first stints they were equally effective, much the same as Gallen and Woods in the second game.

I thought Farah's effort or lack of it on Thurston was worse. I expect front rowers sliding to be stepped by the best in the business occasionally.

Farah got checked. It was a bad effort regardless. However, Aaron should never have let him get around him. He didnt make the effort needed at origin level.
