Wests Tigers are sweating on the fitness of forward leader Aaron Woods ahead of their clash with the monster Canterbury pack on Friday.

Woods was limping and in a knee brace at a Tigers recovery session on Monday.

The Tigers prop is scheduled to have scans on his right leg on Monday afternoon after jarring his knee in the side's 20-6 loss to South Sydney on Sunday.

Woods told reporters he would be right to face the Bulldogs but spent the recovery session receiving treatment from a Tigers physiotherapist away from the main playing group.

Woods has run for over 200 metres in all three of the Tigers' three games this season and his go-forward would be badly missed against the formidable Bulldogs pack at ANZ Stadium.

"(Woods) has been a massive part of our go-forward and if we lose him then it will be a massive loss," Tigers five-eighth Mitchell Moses said.

"It's going to be a big test this week, it was a massive test yesterday with their big pack and I thought we handled (Souths) not too bad but they probably got over the top of us towards the end and held the ball."

According to the website he is in doubt for this week but it doesn't seem to be a long term injury. More will be known after treatment in the next few days.

Fek haven't we had our fair share of injuries already!!?

Gee here's hoping he's ok and can take to the field against the Doggies.

If he is not ok, that will make two not playing as we'll also be missing Pat Richards after being charged for a dangerous throw. Hopefully David Nofoaluma is ready for a return and can take up the left wing.

If Woods is out, Pat Buchanan will start…and bring Lamar Liolevave onto the bench. (why wasn't Lodge playing on Sunday..??)

It has been reported multiple times that Lodge strained his cruciate ligament and will miss the next 4 weeks.

I know it goes against JT's policy but if he's not 100%, but maybe 90-ish, can we play him on the bench?
Not the same minutes, won't get the same contribution, but it would strengthen the reserves and hopefully hold us together a bit more.
Woods on one leg is still better than some of our other options.

I guess the injury curse hasn't left us just yet :frowning:

I'm not trying to start a 50 page fight , but I wonder if these injuries were preventable or just accidental ??

Maybe we should ask Jason Taylor ??

Well since it happened in the back end of the game last 3 mins…. when it was all over... I'll go with preventable

He should be left out this week.

We should be prepared and willing to win footy games without him.

Either Ava or Taupau will replace him. Can see Taupau starting at prop with Halatau at lock. JT won't risk it, but its a shame as Woodsy loves playing the Dogs, along with Manly and Souths.

You're right Tigers. It's just that Woodsy is hard to replace at the moment. He's Awsome

Farah was being interviewed on the BSB radio show this morning…and all but confirmed Woods will miss Fridays game…but should be right for the following week against Parra.

That being the case JT will probs would move Tapau to prop and start with Halatau at lock.
