I am with you! I don't understand where the negativity comes from. He only started playing first grade last year. I think he has done really well for his age, adversity and the amount of work he gets through. Similar player to Bruce McGuire, David Brooks, and Bucketts O'Neill. You don't win comps without these type of players who work hard and don't eat up too much salary cap.

Seems like we love players….until they pull on a WT jersey.
Totally disagree Bruce Mcguire, David Brooks and Mark O'Neill ran hard at the line - The Huth invariably slows down as he gets to the line.
Maybe a bit similar in defence but certainly not in attack.
X2 - it’s his post contact metres that I would like to see, I don’t think they would be great. What is disappointing is his lack of an offload for a big guy. With no offload or power into the line, he doesn’t really have an attacking threat.
His defence is sound but again, for his size, I would like to see some intimidation factor as well.
Do you think Hooth has been instructed not to offload? I've seen Hooth offload before and Twal used to have a reputation for it in his junior days, but both play straight-laced footy - no offloads, very few missed tackles, tight work around the ruck.
Hooth is a plodder for sure, his top speed is snail, but he's got big wings and defends the middle well. I am certain he could start to offload if it was in the gameplan, but currently they use him for late-tackle field position, decoys and passing distribution to the halves.
