World cup

back to back.

if SBW wins this, you can't make much of an argument for him not being the best 2nd rower the game has seen in terms of ability

Do you think he will be the only second-rower ever to win a big game of football?

Don't make me laugh…he is not even the best second rower on the field at the moment. Best ever? No where near it.

Disgraceful decision from Klein dissallows what should have been an incredible try for Cronk. Kangaroos have to be perfect here, they are playing against the crowd and the refs as well as the kiwis.

Klien is the nuffy who robbed Australia in 08…

This Driving is all BS... It never changed any outcome within that play.

i know most of you hate sbw blindly, and thats your decision. but lets start off small. who in the NRL is a better 2nd rower than him right now?

wins a GF for the dogs, does amazingly as a young kid in the NRL. goes wins a RUWC and a premiership for the chiefs. comes back and within a few rounds is dominating again, winning another premiership. can't see anyone better than him right now, and he'd be in the top 3 2nd rowers of all time in my book.

Hasn't played consistently over a long enough period to be in the top 3.

He is, however, the best forward in the world currently playing

Your the one who is blind… Its obvious through your admiration of how great every Tiger player apparently is.

SBW is the most dominant backrower at present, but I'd prefer you not to disrespect the true great backrowers of the last 100 years with your schoolboy attitude.

When SBW wins 10 GF like Provan, he might get close!

:roll yeah weren't all these teams lucky that he played for them. They were all clearly too hopeless to win titles without him :crazy SBW has played against 2 good sides this world cup. The English owned him and the Aussies are doing the same. He is a fair weather player only. He has some magic in him but give me Birdy and Sam every day of the week.

Forget the awards, true watches of this game know this statement is patently false. Smith is the worlds best forward with Burgess and Gallen right behind him. Sonny around 5th or 6th.

He has probably forgotten SBW plays in the Centres in Rah Rah…

Where do you rate Brad Thorn?

The Aussies need to be careful here… If the NZ Trainer doesnt bring out a pie soon for Kasiano, he might start chewing on one of our boys.

Infinitely better player in both League and Union. Its a wildly silly statement to say SBW is the best ever. I maintain he doesnt make the Australian starting 13\. The blokes we have bust their guts ALL GAME. He does not.

I thought Sonny was a candidate for man of the match for the Kangaroos tonight. So happy he was shown up for the second week in a row. He is a very lazy second rower and his offloads are usually to people in worse positions than himself breaking the fundamental rule of attack in the game.

Big congrats to the Kangaroos. That was a blistering performance showing up their rivals in every facet of the game. Near perfect kicking, great attacking skills and ferocious defence. This is a very, very good team. One of the greats. Proud of their efforts. Imagine the party tonight! Hope they dont let themselves down on the drink.

i dont have words for that…. the roos were sublime. i've never seen such a series of performances from any rugby league team. ever.

the roos and All blacks are two absolutely amazing teams in the sporting world right now but after that performance, i might have to say australia's performances have exceeded the ABs in recent months.

and you were right stryker and watto, apologies  might have gotten a little caught up in the hype, and being a kiwi doesnt help haha

although he would make the aussie starting 13 no questions in my opinion, even after that.

$BW= big fat zero.
Good to see the real champions show their wares.
All I have been hearing all week from every Kiwi I know is how good $BW is , how good Shaun Johnson steps and how NZ won the best game of league ever.
Time for a reality check.
Go the Aussies.
PS We would have won by far more if the refs kept the sides apart.

you could see as the game finished how much it meant to this group… They obviously felt they let everyone down in 08, and the emotion on the likes of Gallen (who was my mom tonight), Smith & Thurston was evident.

I doubt these boys will play in another World Cup, but they will always be remembered for this awesome effort!

Yi Yi Yipee Yipee Yi...

Whose position would he take? Honest question pHyR3\. Bird and Thaiday were amazing in attack and defence. Both of them smashed him when he ventured in field so he doesnt get a look in there, Hayne was one of our best all tournament and GI is GI so he cant squeeze into the centres either. He wouldnt get a look in at lock as Gallen is head and shoulders the better player and a tireless machine. Cant see him taking Tamou or Scotty's spot either. He would probably take the number 17 of Corey…but only just. He really isnt as good as people think he is. I wouldnt call him a dependable player at this level. He goes well in club footy against guys who dont have the experience but when he plays against the cream he folds. Like I said the English did the same thing to him last week and I think he would struggle to make their first 13 either.
