Both sides were making errors I wouldn't expect the Aussies to make. In saying that, Slater threw the ball away in the final last year and often the moment can get the better of the players.

Threw a bit more than the ball away!!

Kiwis gonna go back to back once sbw shows why he is the greatest of all time

Get ya hand off it. SBW is lucky he is kiwi, if he was oz or pom he wouldn't be in the WC

Are you serious. sbw wouldn't make the Aussie side??

He may make the bench but is not a walk up starter for the Kangaroos 13\. It is not his fault, the cards are stacked against him due to the fact he is ineligible to play SOO. Our backrow, Sam, Birdy and Gal have 48 SOO game's experience between them. This is an unfair advantage that Australian rugby league has over their rivals. The experience and intensity is bred into them and comes as second nature whereas the blokes from England and NZ have to train and prepare really hard to match them in a limited time frame. It has got to the stage where if the Kangaroos lose an international its a fluke. Our players have taken their raw talents and honed them in the gladiator academy whereas the rest of the world must rely on talent alone and a couple of weeks preparation once a year.

We'll beat the Kiwi's by 30+ next weekend.

To qualify that statement a tad further…

Slammin Sam has played in 41 representative matches in his career,
Paul Gallen has played in 41 as well,
Greg Bird, who is not as experienced as the above 2 has still managed to play in 29.
add Luke lewis with 28

Now look at the NZ backrowers from last night:

SBW has played 11,
Mannering 28,
Matulino 14,
FPN 13,

Point being, our bloke's raw talents have been refined through exposure to high level intensity and talent matchups that the Kiwi's are not as subject to.

SBW is a freak athlete, no doubt, but if you watch him over the full 80, he bludges a lot and makes some glaring mistakes. Our back 3 are tireless and their contributions are infinetly more valuable as a result.

Would be interesting to hear what SBW's fellow forwards think of him. Never once does he ruck the ball up when they are backed up against their tryline, he leaves that dirty work to the rest of the poor mongrels to get smashed. But he is always there when there is glory to be had up the other end of the field.
You would think that they would be a bit brassed off with him TBH.

You do know that he was number 12?

Had a great game. Tough up the middle and out wide when required. Good in defense as well.

Its hard to gauge really… These things he doesnt do might be under instructions?

He is proving very effective when he is involved, and we will need to ensure our defence is ready for him.

Could well be that he is told not to but that seems a bit strange, he doesn't seem to ever do any of the dirty hit-ups from close to the opposition's tryline for the Roosters either. Seems understandable that they try to keep him fresh to work his magic whilst on the attack but it makes you wonder whether his fellow pigs who are getting poleaxed are maybe thinking "hey Sonny it is your turn".

SBW tried putting on the big shoulder charge on Sam Burgess, fair to say his ego is still bruised from round 1 when Burgess stomped all over him on a hit-up for the Rabbits.

Manu and RTS both announced to play for the kiwis today. Looks like Birry Suraytor is going to be fit too, though not definite at this stage.
