World cup

welsh general play kicking was even worse.

Teddys footwork in his try assist was even better than the pass….kept thinking tho most reserve grade sides woulda lapped those two

Okay, that's good to hear! nice to have a utility like teddy to cover midgame for an injury. Probably throw richards at fullback.

How bad was italy's kicking? score sheet says SEVEN TRIES? but only 2 goals… jeez

And the kicker got MOTM :roll

By the sounds you watched the game Ink ??

Did you think Tedesco's inside ball to Mini was forward ??

It was a great ball

Does anyone know where you at least watch highlights of the Wales v Italy game? Stupid 7-mate is showing the V8s and then the International Rules debacle. Can't see it anywhere online. - not even the official site. Foxsports has 30 seconds but you need to register with Rupert.

As per usual RL seems to take a chance to promote the game and totally screw it up… Any decent organisation would have some highlights up on the net hours after the game...

Backwards out of the hands definitely….maybe floated forward with momentum....poor call

refs and fans alike need to watch this video:

from union, but i believe it transfers to league.

Thanks for that.

Typical league you have to go to a NZ news site and sit through an ad for a fat bloke buying shoes but got there in the end!

The lack of a warm up game was evident with the Aussies opening spell…..they were very rusty...the try right on half time was great, could hear a million pommy hearts breaking

The ground was poor, very soft underfoot, made sandcorp look like a tarmac...and I think the balls theyre using will take the kickers some getting used to....both Thurston and Manatell had some out of character poor goal kicks

Yeah Slaters try before half time changed the game Ink

Why you would have Sam Burgess defending out wide when the Australians had an attacking scrum was madness

Slater eats most players alive one on one let alone a big fella like Burgess

Santi looked really good as well.

Although gotta say, frizzel completely got on top of teddy and mark minchello

Also how good was guerraa.

I had to use that site to find highlights for the Australia vs England game as well. Couldn't find them on the NRL website.

While looking for any hint of the World Cup on Eurosports this afternoon, I had to giggle at two Rugby commentators discussing the World Cup between plays. One said, "well we can catch up with the games on Eurosport" and the other said, "actually we aren't carrying any of the World Cup." Nope, nor is anyone else. :frowning:

Santi was bloody terrible…his drop ball early in the second half led to Wales taking the lead. He was shown to be way out of his depth.

Tedesco and Mark Minichello were the two best players for Italy.
How did Frizzel completely got on top of teddy and mark minchello ? They don't even defend alongside each other.
Tedesco didn't miss a tackle and was very aggressive in defence he was bloody brilliant. What game were you watching ? His flick pass for a try to the winger was sensational. Minichello played the whole 80 and was the best forward by far and was rewarded with a try.

Seriously did you even watch the game....First thing I thought was wow.... good decision letting Santi go...his average.

With regard to Guerra Yeah he scored two trys but his two first half mistakes led to the opposition scoring. He tried to stop a rolling ball with his foot and missed it and he missed the bomb.

Mark Minichiello was a work horse and he never gives up but he has the worst hands in the NRL and I reckon had at least 3 turnovers

Boof Laffranchi was the best forward on the field imo Irvine

I like Laffranchi, Paul Vaughan was pretty good also.
Yeah Minichello's hands are terrible but his not a Wests Tigers player so I don't really care. It was more the Tedesco comment.
With very limited opportunities Tedesco completed 15 tackles and missed zero along with one try assist, a try, an offload and 2 line breaks. So I don't understand the comment about Frizzell (who played well) getting completely on top of teddy who was bloody awesome last night playing in an unfamiliar position.
