Would Sheens stand down?

With the Anzac Test coming up in approx 2 weeks, Sheens will be away with the Roos after the Penrith game for the week

Didnt a coach or assistant coach step down from origin recently to concentrate on his clubs poor fortunes at the time?
Furner was it?

Georgy will have 2 weeks,or 1 really until Sheens returns to ready them for tha Parra game

Would Sheens step aside
Should he step aside from rep duty if our seasons on the line??

Good question. If we lose against Penrith I think he may but if we win I don't think he will.

Given our terrible start, I think he should, but he probably won't. It will be interesting to see how the players respond to Georgallis in his absence.

David Furner is incumbent assistant Kangaroos coach….it was him who stepped down last year

How ironic would that be>?
LOL

Yeah that's right it was Furner. The Raiders were tipped for big things before the start of last season, much like us this year, but they lost 8 of their first 9 games! Shoot, I hope that doesn't happen to us this year! We really need to win next Sunday 😛ray:

Don't think it will happen , but whoever was to take over would need a giant set

Because he would have to make some big calls that would probably lead to even bigger calls

Well if what a lot of people are saying is true and that Farah and Marshall run the club :unamused: …..... That to wrestle away their power could get messy

I don't see a need to… It's the Assistants & Trainers who do the majority of work, on the back of direction provided by the Head Coach. The structure has been in place at the Tigers for 6 months and not much is gona change if Sheens is absent for 3-4 days going between both camps.

It's not like he will need to prepare the Tigers for a game, and half our squad will be absent on Rep Duty for either the Test or City vs Country.

A team that includes Smith, Gallen, Cronk, Thurston, Thaiday, Ingliss, Hodges and Slater does not need a lot of coaching.

The main job would be to make sure they get on the bus and arrive at the ground. Not much of a challenge there….

Getting the current Wests Tigers squad to the finals is a huge challenge that I think he should be concentrating on.

I think its a low act to pull out of your commitments. Cartwright and Furner pulling out of their rep dutoes didnt help their clubs either.
