Would you want Farah for 1 more year?

@Spud_Murphy Who would be better then Robbie at the 9 for 2020?
Lots of ppl saying Reynolds or Mbye, when they most likely will not be wearing a tigers jersey for much longer, next season potentially could be their last season with the tigers.
I think 2020 will be a fill in year until we can get a quality hooker in 2021.
Therefore, I think Robbie could fill in and be effective.
Plus having him will only strengthen the group.

Do you go to bed with a Robbie Farah blanky?

@rustycage inappropriate.
Contribute nothing to the discussion as always.

@rustycage Yes... Yes I do.
But to the point, regardless if majority of ppl think his time has passed, the current issue we have at the 9 Still makes the discussion relevant, I would prefer Robbie at the 9 for one last year at some capacity, even if not for 80mins per game, I’m sure he can add some stability.
If you’ve been good maybe Santa will bring you that Robbie Farah blanky you want.

@Newtown I’m all for that, but as liddle was meant to be his replacement, and will be injured until deep into next season, we will be forced to have players who don’t play 9 ‘Attempt to fill the role’ as stated above, having Robbie at some capacity could be beneficial.

@Chaos I agree with @Newtown, it's time to move on. Simpkin is the future plus we are close to signing Brittain from South's.

@TigerTiger If you compare his stats to cook, his stats are still solid 6 tries to cooks 3 , 6 line breaks to cooks 7, 24 points to cooks 12 15 forced drop outs to cooks 8, 15 errors to cooks 22, 29 missed tackles to cooks 43 ( although cook made more tackles- while playing more games as well).
While there are a lot of stats Cook was better, cook also had the better team.
Comparing Robbie to other players, his stats hold up strongly.
I felt Robbie played good in 2019 and statistics support that.
I Still think if Robbie wanted to play another year, he would be an asset.

Ok, I'll be the mongrel.

Mate! You need to let it go - he is finished in more ways than one.

By the way - he didn't play with a broken leg - it was fractured, there is a big difference.

The point is, his back is shot, he has trouble getting down to get the ball at DH, by the time he does this, takes two steps and passes the ball - the opposition is on top of Brooks or Benji - what have you got against them that you want to see them smashed.

Would I be disappointed if he CHOSE to come back, damn right I would. He supposedly always thought of the club first (I doubt that myself), but anyway - if he CHOSE to come back it would not be that he is thinking of the club first.

Let us look to the future, instead of living in the past. Let's remember him at his best and not see him at his worst.

@Russell You make a valid point regarding his back and the effect that has/would have on benji and brooks.

Did people watch last year? He may have had 3 good games, most of the others he struggled to keep up.

Off opposition kicks it was taking him 4 tackles to get back to dummy half.

He would be getting a contract based on his name and would likely let himself and the team down.

What’s more pointless than debating whether or not a 35 year old with a bung back should come out of retirement. If we all think he should, will he?

@TJ21 Surley you would give Simpkin a start before signing Brittan it makes no sense, why sign Billy Walters

Simpkin isn’t eligible till about round 20.

Marshall and Reynolds sharing the role at the end of last year worked extremely well. I’d start with this.

As for Farah - umm... NO

No

He served the club well and time has caught up with his body. He will be remembered for many things as a Wests Tiger mostly great and we should not look back.Liddle will be back late in 2020 based on the severity of his injury and subsequent recovery we just need to have options to cover it until then and I don’t want a 35 year old taking up a roster spot to do so.

Brittan and Walters will train there in the off season and if like the last few rounds of 2019 with Benji and Josh they really only need to get to dummy half and give the team quick service and let the team get on a role.
