WT Membership - UNORGANISED in 2010!

I got a text msg from 'Robbie Farah' today asking me to step up and become a member. I have already renewed my membership 2 WEEKS ago!!!!

Cant they get anything right?!?!? That money they wasted on sending the text could have been spent on other areas the club desperately needs to spend money on. Has LO got soap in the dunnies yet? Has Steve Folkes got enough chewing gum.
I bet not.

Bloody infuriates me this club.

There too busy chasing lote"s signature, nothing else matters..

Yeah, I'm sure the marketing team and the ladies who answer the phones are involved heavily in signing Lote.

Is there any reason you don't want a dual international, superstar of both codes, signed up by our club?..Oh, other than it preventing the might Rhys Pritchard from getting a run?

Well if that's the kinda thing that "infuriates" you, I envy the life you must live.

Now its FIVE days?
An hour and a half ago it was four days.

That seems odd.

So….did they eventually get back to you?
Did you and your mates join up?
Most importantly - what did you miss out on on account of the 'delay'?

yeah, sorry mate, can't remember if it was 4 or 5\. Average it out if you like. They did get back to me eventually and appologised. myself and my 2 mates are signed up to a ultimate gold.
I think the guys there are doing a great job, but on the phone they did mention that it was only 3 of them doing it. If we are aiming for 10,000, how will 3 guys be able to do that? It just seems like it would be SO easy and wise to get a couple of temps in. It's one of the revenue sides of the business.

I have no idea how they have processed 4000 so far. My hat goes off to them.

When I signed up for membership of a certain a-league club, they charged me for it straight away but couldnt send it out in the month or so before the season started, had to collect it, and the membership pack, at the gate at the first game.
Even if you don't get your stuff before the end of feb, at least you don't have to go chasing it.

I would like the other items i bought & paid for when I paid for my membership though…

I have been "gleening" in these posts that what members (or prospective) - need is a little more professionalism from the staff/management.The club is currently running a huge membership drive, so it cannot afford to alienate prospective new members/sponsors. Members are the future of the club, and they need us, so, WT maybe you need to employ more staff to get you through the busy period, so that your membership drive will be a successful one. Good Luck!

Bwahahahahah!!!!

Detecting sarcasm isnt your strong suit, but using it is….

Nice one bruvaaa!!!!!!Agree whole heartedly!!!

Had an issue last year signing up, I wanted to fix up the seating position of me and my mate (as we signed up separately and wanted to sit next to each other)…..called up, they said they would take my number down and give me a call back....couple of days wait, nothing, so I called them back and had the bloke fix it on the spot (took a while) and had to wait WEEKS for the amended card to show up (almost season start)

ARGH, hopeless.

Needless to say, I haven't renewed my membership this year, my mate pulled out and I'm thinking about getting another mate to take his place and we are going to downgrade to a different package....but......

...it's just too hard for them.

Why is it a joke?
Do you need it now???
Its not like youre going to miss anything anyway so just have some patience.

You tell that to my 8 and 10 year old children who have been waiting by the letter box everyday since Christmas! I am too concerned with the decreasing level of professionlism and service that seems to have dramatically decreased since last year.

Did the tigers give you a date as to when you would receive the package?

I wonder where your kids get their impatience from?

I got a booklet outlining when items would be recieved, its called "Step Up"
I dont know why you didnt.

Come on B.O.B, you have to look past your hard-line loyal support and therefore are happy to put up with delays and look to the bigger picture of fringe or new supporters who might be willing to go without something this year to buy a Tigers membership in 2010.

Considering we have passed last years figure already, there are a considerable amount that fall in this category.

Not all supporters are so passionate that they will do things like spend copious amounts of time on a forum to discuss pre-season issues. Of course hard core supporters will be ok with delays, as long as we get our seat before kickoff.

But it does annoys me, and it seems like a few other members too, when management have simple oversights like this when they are crying out for more members. Even IF they let you know in a booklet that it will take x days. This is a great xmas gift and it's a shame they couldn't organize packs to be sent out before then. It's not rocket science and a minimal extra cost to create the merchandise in 2 runs.

Add that to the delays in trying to actually talk to membership personnel, and all this is something that is worth commenting about.

I'm sure you would like to see a bigger membership base too? :supporter:

A potential bigger membership base is possibly the reason for the delay.
This is all new ground for most clubs, hopefully the club has been caught unawares by
the demand, and I'm sure if so they will learn from it.
Maybe the club could offer a small WTs membership//xmas card for those that wish to use a membership as a xmas gift, record their details
on a database and get the goodies out when the majority of applications are in while allowing the person to use the card as the gift - after all its only a symbolic thing at that time of the year, I mean there are some things that just arent suitable for a christmas gift - such as a weekend to the skifields in January, easter eggs & ugh boots.

As i said before thwe club sent me a card 'membership voucher' style of thing to give to the kids for xmas - i only had to ask and they delievered the next day. Again, ask and you shall receive - how do those staff in the office know that you want to give it to your kids for xmas if you dont ask. Let's all be a bit realistic. For all they know you were probably renewing your seat to ensure you got to keep the same one.

this thread to me just reflects society these days - no patience and expect everything to be done then and there.

I am also led to believe from the new person who is running membership that the entire department from 2009 was replaced by a new team, they have grown the department from 2 to 4 people and have casuals in on a regular basis. They mentioned that packs will be delivered in the coming week-2weeks at latest. Also mentioned was that one of the major hold ups was the NRL have put in a new computer system to manage all nrl clubs membersips and ther have been issues out of their control. Another one is that campbelltown is not yet finished and seats have not been numbered and allocated.

They were very open, transparent and receptive to all my questions.

I ask all my fellow fans to have some patience, tell the kids they may have to wait a week for their packs (not all that long to go) and by Feb we will be ready to go with our biggest membership base ever a month in advance of our first match. How good is life!

Let's stop[ wasting our breath whinging and save it up for some big cheering as the Wests Tigers set sail for the premiership in the year of the tiger!!!!!

TIGERS!

Well i have just become a member for the first time and as long as the stuff arrives before the first game i'll be happy.

The front page of the website has said we hit 4000 in January, great start with more to come you would think in Feb/march
