WT Ownership, The Board & Senior Management - MEGA Thread

In an ideal world, if it was my decision, I would have a 7 seat board with 6 independents and 1 seat from the Holman Barnes Group. Our ownership structure complicates that though.

I would have a skills matrix for the entire board and criteria for the positions based off the skill matrix.

Finally the HBG would be the mechanism for removing an underperforming board.

I do think a members advisory group that interacts with the board could be beneficial moving forward as well.

That is just my opinion and not what I expect to see as the outcome of the review.
Members advisory group??

Sounds like the voice.

Makes perfect sense!

A member's advisory group can be a selected group of 7-8 members (a good number for this kind of group, members of different backgrounds) with a director from the board being the chair of this group and takes key outcomes back to board meetings.

U reckon coates is a realistic option?

For those interested, I just located a Directors Handbook for Parramatta RLFC ( last updated 2022), online.
To enable a more detailed understanding of an NRL clubs Directors R&R it may make interesting reading and answer many of the queries we have about our process.
