When I read all this saga about who owns what % of what and who votes etc etc
It seems like the Wests Tigers are like a marriage where the Husband and Wife don't get along but still live in the same house saying we must keep it together for the sake of the kids . We the fans are the kids

The NRL own the clubs names and logos so we can't change the name without their consent. Nothing to say they would have a problem if we did want to change it though.
I don't think they would ever allow a change Gallagher. For marketing reasons the Tiger is one of the most marketable brands / logos around.

It’s pretty much a closed shop S, by my understanding, the only loophole is that the NRL owns the Wests Tigers brand equity, so if they thought the brand was being tarnished they can intervene.
However, with all the tarnish the brand has taken over the last few years, and with no NRL intervention thus far, I’d say that loophole is closed.

Is it just me or is that a deferring blame wholly and solely to the board
Thats the way I read it. And I agree with Pantelis, to the point the sacking of an individual won't necessarily improve anything at all. Well, except for a brief moment of harmonious status quo for those doing the sacking lol.
It's a disorganised organisation which relies heavily on continual sackings, it shows they have no idea how to solve their own problems.
The board need to ask the question.. why does WT exist? What is its main goal?

Well he’s certainly not standing up and saying, as Chairman of the Board the buck stops with me and, as such, I’m falling on my sword and going back to just being a sponsor.
Imagine the personal and public shame of him doing that. He, and Brydens, would be tarnished so he would never do that.
Far easier to defer all the issues to those around him. Throw a few under the bus.
What a strong and powerful leader !!! Not.
The only way he goes is if the board voted him out.

Going to a 10 year members dinner and tour of the new Concord edifice tonight. Be interesting to see how many invitees actually turn up and the general demeanour of the joint with all that's been going on. I expect a stirring address from the usual suspects.

Enjoy. Look forward to some feedback, if appropriate.

I agree and if this is the future then there is no future not a long term one anyway
Too much mindset of those with any power is dedicated to the interests of original components . Wests Tigers fans just want to win football games and I mean NRL football games . The Nrl issues the licence and I assume they could withdraw it one day in the future if they wanted to and could show cause .
Maybe I'm paranoid but I think the NRL think the following
- they don't like having an odd number of teams eg 17 long term as it makes doing the draw difficult
- they want to expand the Nrl step by step to 18 or 20 teams to cover more geography
- they feel there are too many Sydney teams and would prefer one less
Add all that up and better to not be regarded as a basket case rooted to the bottom of the table .

I'll see you there.
You bringing a pitchfork?

Wests Tigers Rugby League Football Club PTY LTD is the holder of the NRL Licence.

The Ownership of WTRLFC PTY LTD is Wests Magpies PTY LTD 90% Balmain Tigers 10%

Wests Magpies PTY LTD is 66% Holmans Barnes Group (Formerly Wests Ashfield) and 33% Western Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club (WSDRLFC)

WSDRLFC has a 7 person board 4 directors appointed by the Holman Barnes Group and 3 elected by the Members of WSDRLFC

Wests Tigers Rugby League Football Club (holder of the NRL licence) has a board of up to 8 directors, 4 appointed by the Holman Barnes Group, 1 by WSDRLFC, 1 by Balmain District Rugby League Club and 2 independent directors.

The Holman Barnes Group has a 7 person board, 5 directors appointed by the Debenture Holders of the Holman Barnes Group and 2 elected by the general membership of the Holman Barnes Group. There are currently 20 debenture Holders of the Holman Barnes Group.

Basically unless you are one of the 20 Debenture Holders of the Holman Barnes Group it is virtually impossible to have any meaningful impact on the running of the above clubs.

In 2020 Wests Ashfield (Now the Holman Barnes Group) merged (took over) the Balmain Leagues Club and now runs those clubs and the future Balmain Leagues Club in Rozelle. The Holman Barnes Group provides a grant to the Balmain District Rugby League club to run the Balmain Jnr League. They closed the Fivedock Tigers Leagues Club and currently run Wests Ashfield, The Market Club and Croydon Sports Club.

Happy to answer any questions I can if that didn't cover what you wanted to know.
So the only way to have a say on Holman Barnes Group is to lend WA money??

Pull your head out mate……it’s not about the cake, it’s the way a 200game veteran is honoured. It shows how our organisation works and it stinks.
I think even though he’s only been with us a short time we should have done better than a post it note on a cheap looking cake.
It's like the soccer canteen when I was a kid and Mrs Frazackerlie made lamingtons to raise money.
Amateur hour if true.
