It was the board who stepped back and said to Tim, your football, you run with it.The club as a whole is a reflection of the boardroom.
We are now running at a profit, through grassroots initiatives and the centre of excellence building we are developing and expanding the wests Tigers footprint. So in a business sense things are flying. But on the pitch we are currently woeful, falling into one turmoil period after another.
It's because our boardroom is full of business people, people who understand the corporate world and how to develop and run businesses.
But we don't have any football knowledge on our board. No one who understands what's required to play the game. If we brought in two more board members like Wayne Pearce and say Andrew Leeds we put the football knowledge into the boardroom, I reckon the Tigers will start flying on and off the field. I reckon Sheens should have been given a seat
We have Danny Stapleton who is the board's member on out Football Operations department. He's old Balmain, but really he doesn't seem up to it. Like most of the board. The club as a whole is a reflection of the boardroom.

Yeah, after they’d already rasnacked the joint. It was the board who stepped back and said to Tim, your football, you run with it.
What did Crowe do when he took charge of Souths? He changed the whole mindset of a club that had been losers for 30 years. Thats what we need to do, Wests are losers , run by losers. They need to go.Other than sacking yet another coach what will a new board do , from all reports grass roots are fine but it’s the senior level that is up shot creek . So they need better people running the team and recruitment , better off doing a sack Pascoe and Madge thread .
But since Wests Ashfield own the club they also have to put it up for sale the club is already privately owned so someone has to come in sooner or later preferably soonerWhat did Crowe do when he took charge of Souths? Anyone who can't see that has their head up their arse.
Exactly. And that's what we need. Hit rock bottom and actually force through a complete rebuild of the club. What did Crowe do when he took charge of Souths? He changed the whole mindset of a club that had been losers for 30 years. Thats what we need to do, Wests are losers , run by losers. They need to go.

True , I cast see them selling either. I think we'll just slowly die like Wests and Balmain. But since Wests Ashfield own the club they also have to put it up for sale the club is already privately owned so someone has to come in sooner or later preferably sooner
NRL has clauses in their clubs to keep them afloat so Tigers won’t be dying anytime soonTrue , I cast see them selling either. I think we'll just slowly die like Wests and Balmain.
Sounds like crap. They've said they won't bail clubs out any more.NRL has clauses in their clubs to keep them afloat so Tigers won’t be dying anytime soon
They helped each club out last 2 seasons obviously due to the pandemic but NRL does have to try and help out all clubs if needed no guarantee to save them but try and help themSounds like crap. They've said they won't bail clubs out any more.
Says a lot for the other clowns of the joint venture if Wests are losers. What did Crowe do when he took charge of Souths? He changed the whole mindset of a club that had been losers for 30 years. Thats what we need to do, Wests are losers , run by losers. They need to go.

Maybe, I've followed Wests since the 80s. They are losers.Says a lot for the other clowns of the joint venture if Wests are losers.
Try and help? If in 5 years we're at 18 clubs and the likes of us are still at the bottom of the table I can't see much help coming. They helped each club out last 2 seasons obviously due to the pandemic but NRL does have to try and help out all clubs if needed no guarantee to save them but try and help them
I’m talking about financial situations mate the club itself has to sort that one out but if the club needs assistance in terms of money (not cap money) the NRL has to step in and provide assistance they did the same thing for the Titans a few years ago and each club received a boost due to the pandemic Tigers aren’t going anywhere mateTry and help? If in 5 years we're at 18 clubs and the likes of us are still at the bottom of the table I can't see much help coming.
Exactly - Punt Sheens. But its true - i remember everyone on here a few years ago complaining that the board was always meddling in football operations. So the board hired Sheens to oversee all football operations and they stepped back to run the administration and financial side. Everyone hailed it as a masterstroke. Now everyone is whingeing that board should be sacked because of poor performance in the football operations section. It was the board who stepped back and said to Tim, your football, you run with it.
Pandemic is a different situation. They have said they won't bail clubs out anymore.I’m talking about financial situations mate the club itself has to sort that one out but if the club needs assistance in terms of money (not cap money) the NRL has to step in and provide assistance they did the same thing for the Titans a few years ago and each club received a boost due to the pandemic Tigers aren’t going anywhere mate
They don’t want to but legally have to if required its written in the clubs contracts with the NRLPandemic is a different situation. They have said they won't bail clubs out anymore.
Bullshit. You've already said there no guarantee. They don’t want to but legally have to if required its written in the clubs contracts with the NRL
