Bullshit. You've already said there no guarantee.
No guarantee to save the club is what I said but legally they have to provide some form of assistance to try and help them out maybe learn to read first mate if I didn’t make it clear enough I did now if a club is in trouble NRL has to step in and provide assistance it doesn’t guarantee the club will survive but the NRL has to at least try and help them

Maybe, I've followed Wests since the 80s. They are losers.
I've followed them since the 60's so i've seen more hard times than you. They were never a glamour club and were always treated like shit by the powerbrokers. Whenever a new side came in to the comp in Sydney it usually meant Wests had to give up more of their territory and start again. Kicked out of the comp and beat the league in court to stay in. Players pillaged by glamour clubs. And through it all they never gave up - so no i don't think they are losers - Wests Tigers on the other hand - i reckon a lot of key players in this side are tanking to get rid of the coach. It seems to be ingrained in the culture of this club that if the players don't like the coach all they have to do is play like u12s and he will be gone.

It would be possible that a lot of players are tanking to get rid of him but it just shows that they run the club not the coach in terms of the footy side of things

Wests are running the club now though.

Sorry, signing a petition isn't going to do diddly squat.

Actions speak louder than words.

I didn't renew my membership of 10+ plus years last October.

I emailed the club why I wouldn't be doing so at the time - basically, if the players couldn't give a fire truck, neither could I - and politely reiterated this to the young man who called me from the club in February asking me to renew. I said when they start winning, I will renew.

I have also stopped wearing my large wardrobe of jerseys, shirts, jackets and hats.

Starting yesterday, I have stopped watching the games. I vowed after the Gold Coast game that I wouldn't watch another minute. This was even more difficult when my gummy supporting wife turned it on to gee me up. I left the room and played computer games with headphones from 4pm till 6pm.

My 15 year old daughter went to the game yesterday to support the gummies. She mentioned that there were basically zero Tigers in the crowd. This contrasts with my last visit to Shark Park in 2005.

Im quite depressed that it has come to this.

I've followed the tigers since the 1920's plurrgghhh 🤪

I appreciate the desire and the passion behind the thread, but how can non-voting fans cause a board to resign?

Wests Ashfield own the Wests Tigers and supply 100% of board members themselves. Ticketed Members (AKA "customers") don't have a say in the makeup of the Tigers board. Therefore Ticketed Members cannot mount a case to force board members off.

In many ways it would be like consumers trying to affect changes to the board of Mars Inc, which is a privately-owned company, because they don't like the new Mars Bars. You can complain all you like, stop buying Mars Bars, but the Mars family own the whole show, box and dice, so you can't force them to give up their control just because you don't like what their company is producing.

At best you can pressure them at a consumer level to change their output, e.g. their recipe, but you probably can't make them sell their company or retire. They don't answer to you, the consumer, they only answer to themselves.

The only major risk to Wests is a business downturn, but that is already self-evident in a badly performing team, you don't need irate fans to tell you losing is bad for business.

Some people have thick skin...others thin skin....
Its like the wise man once told me "if you dish it out,be prepared to cop it back"...
Pretty simple isnt it,the good thing is we can all have opinions, its how we handle the differing is what makes it a conversation and not an abusive argument...👍
