You think our leaky club could keep that in-house? 😂
All Madge supporters were blindsided by his dismissal so WTs has improved insofar as leaks are concerned. It would be nice to have one or two signings being kept quiet until a new coach is announced.

A club powerbroker informed Buzz after Sheen’s announced a mid season review. Hardly blindsided ! This club doesn’t surprise anyone, they are a predictable mess.

There are 2 seats on the Wests Ashfield board that can be voted for by members of Wests Ashfield. The other 5 seats are untouchable even to the members of Wests Ashfield which is why nothing can be really done about the Wests Tigers board.
So it should be.
You can't have an entity pouring millions of dollars in over the years being controlled by outside interests.

2 seats voted by members is enough.

This is where it starts to get a little confusing the Debenture holders, which I believe there are about 20 have 5 positions on the board. It is why the board is consistently made up of the same people.

The Wests Ashfield Board then appoint the Member of the Wests Tigers Board with many directors holding positions on both boards. There are absolutely no mechanism for Wests Tigers fans or members to have any influence on the Wests Tigers board.
Season ticket holders are not the owners they are fans and customers.

Like any business customers don't get a vote on the management.

If we don't like it we know where the door is.

That is 2 seats on the Wests Ashfield board voted by members Wests Ashfield, the Wests Ashfield and Western Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club (WSDRLFC is a controlled entity of Wests Ashfield appoint 5 members, Balmain Football Club appoints 1 member and 2 indepenedent are appointed to the Wests Tigers Board.

But they’re OUR predictable mess ... you’ve gotta love em. ❤️❤️❤️

It’s a perennial soap opera - never a dull (or winning) moment 🤣

I hear a lot of criticism aimed at the WT Board of Directors. But when it comes to football decisions, they surely just rubber stamp (within financial reason) what Sheens, Pascoe and the football department presents to them.

The board is made up of eight. Five of the eight are from Wests Ashfield. The chair and two others are from the Balmain side of the tracks. Given the club is doing well financially I think the board is doing a good job.

I could be totally wrong, but don’t think Julie Romero, Dennis Burgess or Simon Cook etc are talent scouting for players in their spare time. Most of the board are successful business types who are there to make sure Wests Tigers are a successful business.

When it comes to footy decisions I can see Rick Wayde (Wests) and Danny Stapleton (Balmain) having a say, but it’s going to be mostly down to what Sheens wants.

Pascoe’s role in football related decisions - I’m not sure about. It would seem that Sheens was brought in to cover Pascoe’s lack of football smarts.

But, I could be wrong ...

There is one Balmain director and 2 independent directors.
