i know this will get a BIG no from some on here, they will start the, HES A GRUB, but if we are to build a pack that others fear, this is the backrower we need for 1-2 years. GREG BIRD, watched him play for catelans dragons, he still runs hard and hits hard too. if we are fair dinkum he is what are pack needs.

He is on a 5 year contract over there, no chance!

Thanks for the effort Milky. As they are now current players and signed beyond 2017, maybe Lolohea and MWZ should be moved to the next section?

Hey Milky, Hasn't McIlwrick re signed with us. I thought I'd read that here on the forum last week. Or am I imagining things?

Hasn't been announced Officially yet…but believed to have been re-signed for 2 more seasons..

Next year really is going to be a fresh start for the club. We are going to have more players coming in than are already here. It will be start from scratch for everyone. We also seem to be going for balanced quality instead of a couple of stars and a few fringe first graders. Hopefully everyone comes together under a hated vision/goal and we have a team that works for each other

Spine: Brooks, Liddle, Reynolds, Gamble, Lolohea
Backs: Noffa, Suli, MWZ, Thompson, Fonua, Milne
Props: Matulino, Twal, Packer, Sue, Felise
Backrow: Aloiai, McQueen, Lawrence, Marsters, ET (most likely)
Utility: MCK

Areas to target:
Spine utility: McIllwrick? Connor Watson?
I'd prefer to have another speedy back too: Ferguson/Kahu/Johnston etc.
We are good for props now. No complaints, hire from within: Tatola
Backrow is weak, I think we need to splurge either here or a really good centre: Hoffman, Guerra or even Ryan Matterson.

TBH when you put it like that ^ we really do look weak. We need a strong backrow or centre signing IMO. One centre will be Suli but I have no faith in Milne, Fonua or MWZ to be what we need.

Edit: Just remembered Tim Grant has an option in his favour. I don't think any other NRL team will be making a play for him, put him down for 2018 too.

Ryan Matterson is not off contract until the end of 2019 having signed an extension earlier this year.

Don't expect any more centre signings, Suli and Milne will be pegged as starting centres with Fonua and MWZ as depth.

There are limited back row options available.

Haha I'm not up to date on signings TBH. There would definitely be a shortage of backrowers and centres, but we need to make a play ASAP for a marquee in that position or the fullback position - ala Latrell Mitchell

Some of those players under contract may yet be moved on.

I would be looking for A depth prop, backrow and a back-up fullback.

So how much play money have we got left?

SG said that we have spent 6.3million and if ET re-signed it would be 6.65 million spent.
So there is still a bit of cash left to splash out on some more players.
