2023 Development Players

Josh Feledy, Kitione Kautoga, Christian Ma'anaima and Justin Matamua

Train & Trial (full season)

Jahream Bula, Zane Camroux, Tallyn Da Silva, Kit Laulili'i, Brandon Mansfield, Jordan Miller, Trey Peni and Tony Sukkar

Train & Trial (pre-season)

Jordan Hill, Kade Hill, Ben Houston, Atiasi James, Luke Knight, Livai Saukuru, Keenan Tempest and Bruce Ward
Some names in there I don't recognise

In regards to Sillva miller and kit

I thought they inked long term extensions?

Are those train and trials just to allow them to train with the full squad

Sheens like players who offer different. Everyone has different ideas but my suggestions - Kautoga, Matamua, Webster-Mansfield, Jimmy Ngutlik (raw, big, fast, always looks to promote the ball).

Ngutlik won't be here next year if we don't give him something decent....
He's not in any of the lists the club sent out this morning.

He'd be up for grabs I'd reckon, His WC games won't be helping us hang onto him.

Yeah I was surprised not to see Ngutlik on the train-and-trial lists.

could be on a state cup contract. I remember last year guys like Ogden, Taipari and Ngutlik himself weren't listed as T&T but were playing with the magpies.

here's the article below. we might know more in a few weeks.

Criminal. Wasted 3 spots on tumeth
Who's not near big enough or ready
Reilly - untested & had a bad KOE cup
Fainu who made little to no impact.

Ngutlik, James & Kautoga are
the picks of the bunch. Blame Madge

Fonua - Pole?
That spots not wasted...

Had as much impact as Alex Twal does... With more upside.
Seyfarth offers zero....

I'd consider those spots more wasted than Poles'
Agree on the other 2. There's plenty of others though - Simpkins, To'a

I get how it works mate, But how long you reckon a bloke that's making waves in the WC is going to be on a reserve grade contract?
He played Massey more than ressies last year from memory....
Someone will give him something more and he'll look to be gone.

He should be training with Firsts in the very least.

I certainly agree with you, but it might've been agreed before he made his way over to the UK for the World Cup. who knows. we might find out in a few weeks.

after the info released by the club today, the big questions are now...

Where is Albert Kelly?
Where is Liam Scolari?
What's the go with Jimmy Ngutlik?
Who is on the chopping block?
Who fills the final three spots in the Top 30?

I meant Fainu not Fonua my
bad. Edited my post accordingly

Agree on 'the Lebanese Viking' Seyfarth.

From memory, Jimmy was in the Massey Cup team up until final round when he poked his head into NSW Cup

Where does Jimmy Ngutlik fit in ?

Must find a spot for Jimmy cover for Kenny who often gets niggles
If we don't Storm would love him outside Olam

Looking at our squad and our development players it appears we don't have Chris Faagutu anywhere in the squad.

Our dev players look pretty good though - Matamua, Kautoga, Ma’anaima and Feledy.

yeah bit disappointed he's not at least training with the top squad through pre-season. Pole and Matamua did that and ended up making their debuts by the end of the year. hopefully he's starting a little later and hasn't been confirmed just yet.

Can't be mad at that eh...

🔥🔥

Ma'anaima was talked up in the pre season by some in the know as a good front row pairing option for Stef.

Has a lot of promise.
