WT V Manly - Live Game Thread

I’d bench him for next game ..
He was atrocious tonight

He may not have been playing to his usual standard, but I'd rather have a nobody with the right attitude than a high-profile who can't produce. This is what systems like Manly, Raiders and the Storm know and we don't...
Also, the players are not totally wrong about complaining of chopping and changing.
I know it's a little bit different, but remember Bodene Thompson at the Titans? Continually switched between 2nd row and Centres, and if he was off the bench, never knew where he'd end up. When he came to us, he was given an exclusive role in the 2nd row with confidence and turned out one our best players that season. Was sad to see him go.
Tweaking the side at the start of a season is only natural and, at the end, when we're no chance and we're building for next year makes sense. But halfway through a season Madge should've had a gauge on the make-up of his 1st-choice team by then, and I believe Luccy should have always been there, along with Macca.

Second row - Gardner too small needs add a a lot of size to zen considered next year

Madge gave plenty of players opportunity to cement their spots this yr.... 80% of them when given enough rope, hung themselves.

If I was as incompetent at my job in the professional arena as half of our player have PROVEN to be, I wouldnt cop a few weeks off work paid, I would be at centrelink.

We only have a certain number of players to utilise. Find out who the best fit is for the run-on side and work out how to make them work. That's the coaching staffs whole job. We all know Madge is working with the turn-coats roster, but he is paid handsomely to do what's required to achieve his objective. That's his profession.

Garner was running great lines last year...what changed?
Luccy, as a core of players who put in every week, when those around them are lack-lustre, is possibly a bit run-down. Let's not forget, this is his first season as an 80min player.
