Just watched the last 15 again. Can Harry Grant play that roaming ball playing lock position against Souths please. We looked so much better with Liddle and Grant on the field

It will be way past his bedtime so I’ll wake him up and give him a second bath.

WTs were much better with McIntyre, Taylor and Eisenhuth on the field. McIntyre and Taylor use the shoulder to drive into a tackle. Eisenhuth works.

Jiash A has a lot if work to do in defence. He is a grabber and many times third man in. JWH makes is personal to get into the tackle first. Tapau and Fonua Blake rolled through the arm grabs.

I’m so impressed with McIntyre. He is a real handful. Still yet to work out his best role in the team long term, but he most definitely has a big part to play going forward.

McIntyre also made good inroads with the ball. Until he came on with Taylor, it seemed our most consistent hardest hitter was Brooks. Some of our forwards need to improve their defensive techniques. Blocker mentioned it was no secret that Tapau and Fonua Blake were going to hit us but our starting forwards weren't prepared.

I wonder if he is an edge backrower we are looking for, or a lock? I think he could be more effective on an edge as he came through the junior grades as a centre, and has played penty of backrow in State Cup. I think Garner may run a better line in attack, but Sam Mac is consistently a better defender. Garner shows glimpses when he hits players front on, he can time a good shot, but it's an interesting conundrum.

I dont think he has the attacking prowess to be a strike backrower. He is a worker with great defence, a quick play the ball and a good pass. With a bit of work I think he will be a good lock for us.

After tonight I'm more convinced that Mbye is a 5/8. If we can somehow get JAC confirmed and he goes ok at the back I can see us next year having;

1. JAC
2. Nof
3. BJ
4. Douehi
5. Kepaoa
6. Mbye
7. Brooks

In the near future we need to jettison BJ. His bad far outweighs any good. Kepaoa is a huge prospect. I don't think some appreciate how good he will be for WTs.

You really need to get over this BJ thing Paws - without him we don't win.

There is a reason Nofo is the leading try scorer and his initials are BJ.

I think the reason is David Nofoaluma myself..he’s created and finished a fair few of his own will

He certainly is a good finisher not doubt about it but as a for instance that last try he scored was a great team effort. Probably one of the best team trys this season. Doueihi broke a number of tackles and the team, Harry in particular kept it alive, the ball went then to BJ who drew and passed to Nofo to score. Not saying Nofo does not do a lot himself, he does, but the reason he is leading, and not just in the middle of the pack, is because who he has inside him. This is what has pushed him to a clear lead.

Nofa was on ABC Grandstand when I drove to work ....he needs to work on his conversation skills ....pretty bad lol

If you go through the game you might find ten more incidents like this one.

I have him pegged as lock. Nathan Brown 2.0 without the penalties.

I wish he was Nathan Brown running the ball. Unfortunately his isnt, idk he looks sort of small to me.

That's what everyone was saying about Brown.

Mac looks very big up top to me.

One player that showed he has got it, was young Kepoa, some of his footwork and hit ups were great, looks like a very good signing. Never been a fan, but Elijah Taylor also really got stuck into it.

How good has ET been off the bench? His energy is great but also does the tough stuff. Has deserved his selection based on his performances.

If others noticed we received more favourable calls when we played expansive football. Being positive in your play has rewards. We need to look at this and also getting dumb out of our game eg why try and unload near your line when you don't do it near their line? It cost us a try.

Also a big turn around in Brook's game, he was the No 1 organiser and taking control was good to see. Thats what a halfback can do when his Team is going forward 🙂

Kepaoa has real pace, power and a step. I'm pleased SBW came to the Roosters to release Kepaoa.

And what about late in the second half one of their players was laying in the ruck making no attempt to get out of the way obstructing our dummy half and Perenarra the flog was saying play on . Haven’t seen a ref give a team wearing maroon such an armchair ride with all the calls since Barry “the cheating grasshopper “ Gomersel

Benji kicking on the 3rd still kills me, he’s been doing it since day dot and rarely comes off well and in a game where we’ve barely had the ball…ugh

That is and always will be a typical Benji play.He does it because he thinks it could work but nobody else knows he is going to do it.A very very low percentage play

That is why he would never make a decent halves coach.
