WTF – Wests Tigers Faithful Podcast

After reading that Chammas article . They igers players sound like they’ve already turned on Galvin . He won’t be picked tomorrow I reckon .

I haven’t read the article ( paywall) … there was some rumour that Pole bagged him on Social Media, but assume that’s BS as hasn’t blown up…

If the other players are off him , I would be very surprised if he hasn’t played his last game here …

Could be total BS of course and the players are good with his decision

Nah there was screenshots ! Pole , Terrell May , a few others family members . So wives and girlfriends ( so basically the player ) .
I think polys are not happy about the Benji stuff . And not should they be ! That’s rough man ! Benji has done nothing but have their back ,and Galvin especially has had Benji have his back when the playing group last year , led by klemmer and Bateman wanted him out .
I reckon Galvin might be getting a hospital ball on Sunday if he plays . Luai has a wink to Paulo and then puts Galvin into a “hole” …..

I put the article on the Galvin thread

Cheers for the pod and the intel fellas.

Very strange situation that a contracted player (for the best part of 2 more years) is expressing he doesn't rate the coach via his manager in the media. If its not untenable, its pretty close. I think we all know where its heading. Must be going down like a lead balloon with the players.

It's there way of trying to force a release

We just need to send him to reserve and be done with it

I think the mental health thing was a one time only deal . From memory the nrl didn’t look kindly on that , and I think Isaac got a sanction for it . I might be misremembering though ?
I just think you drop him , and let him flounder in KOE . It would absolutely kill his market value I think.

May heard about them and was confused by them and seemed offended and rightly so. Hopefully puts a bit more of a chip on his shoulder and he comes out firing Monday

On the James Graham/Brandon Smith pod, Smith says the exact same stuff as you guys. Said he heard from a mate's dad that Galvin is tipped to go to Manly and then floated the idea of DCE to Tigers as a swap. Got laughed at by Graham and the nuffie who sits next to them but he was dead serious.

Smith tells it how it is. He actually had a lot of encouraging comments about the Tiges.

Smith is fairly tight with May from memory.

Hey Guys, well done on the poddy. Good analysis on what is going on and the chat provides good interaction on the side. I think that the right edge attack is starting to come together but AD is now defensively sound (never thought I would say that) but pedestrian in attack. Our right edge is also defensively sound but the Seyfarth/Galvin combo is letting us down but we have magic outside fo them in Toa and Taruva.

I think that AD can potentially be unlocked in attack but on the right side Galvin needs strighten the attack and to dig into the line further to bring Seyfarth into the ball. Seyfarth also needs to work on his lines and timing so they both have to own and fix that problem. When Galvin sweeps to the left Luai strightens the attack and digs him into the line so he is starting to be more effective on that edge. I get the feeling that Latu on the right edge will straighten the attack and provide more opportunity (to the detriment of having the energiser bunny all over the field).

Fitting Galvin into the side if Latu comes in probably means Bird would have to drop off and I think that really weakens the rotation if we also carry TDS, but Api's defence starting to drop off with long minutes is something we would need to cover.

For mine the logical solution is Galvin to KoE once Latu is fit with him coming back into FG as a substitue for injury as it occurs. Galvin may be in the top 17 but he is not as robust as Bird and doubt he would make the difference we need as a momentum changer carrrying him as the 14.
