The right edge is where all our points are being scored ? What are you talking about mate ?Hey Guys, well done on the poddy. Good analysis on what is going on and the chat provides good interaction on the side. I think that the right edge attack is starting to come together but AD is now defensively sound (never thought I would say that) but pedestrian in attack. Our right edge is also defensively sound but the Seyfarth/Galvin combo is letting us down but we have magic outside fo them in Toa and Taruva.
I think that AD can potentially be unlocked in attack but on the right side Galvin needs strighten the attack and to dig into the line further to bring Seyfarth into the ball. Seyfarth also needs to work on his lines and timing so they both have to own and fix that problem. When Galvin sweeps to the left Luai strightens the attack and digs him into the line so he is starting to be more effective on that edge. I get the feeling that Latu on the right edge will straighten the attack and provide more opportunity (to the detriment of having the energiser bunny all over the field).
Fitting Galvin into the side if Latu comes in probably means Bird would have to drop off and I think that really weakens the rotation if we also carry TDS, but Api's defence starting to drop off with long minutes is something we would need to cover.
For mine the logical solution is Galvin to KoE once Latu is fit with him coming back into FG as a substitue for injury as it occurs. Galvin may be in the top 17 but he is not as robust as Bird and doubt he would make the difference we need as a momentum changer carrrying him as the 14.
Seyfarth is a rock in defence . For me I’d much rather be scoring tries through the winger and not letting in tries , than soceijg the occasional try through the edge forward , but letting in a whole lot of tries.
I have not forgotten the past 10 years down that edge Z
I think everyone needs to chill and be happy to have a defensive edge forward there for a few years .
Because that edge scores 2-3 tries a game at the moment . He’s not David Fifita . But for me , we don’t need him to be .
