Roosters come very close to winning the comp for me. Great young pack, heaps of talent in the obs and a premiership spine of Teddy, Walker, DCE and Robson.

Plenty of people agree with you.
I don’t see it as Teddy is another year older and slower, DCE is 37 and won’t be happy taking a backseat to Sam Walker.
Walker and DCE are both in the ball game controllers, neither are devastating ball runners.
Robson as a tough defender with good service from dummy half, but not a huge danger when running the ball.
I think their 2-5 is average. Sure Marky Nark has plenty of x-factor, but his trial form was average and I have doubt he will put in as much as he did last season with a rugby World Cup looming.
They have a very good forward pack, but players such as Lindsay Collins have been battered and slowing down. I don’t think their forward pack is capable of dominating games as much as plenty of people think they will.
Time will tell.

I think you are very overly focused on the spine …and even then this is not an area of weakness for the Roosters with current Origin players Robson and Teddy ..

The Roosters have great forwards ,,,, I’ve said this before … you can have the best halves in the comp…if the forwards aren’t doing their job it won’t matter ,,… “players such as Lindsay Collins “…. You talking about Leniu and Crichton ? All 3 are current Origin players that would walk into our team..

I think back to last year and the Raiders coming out of no where to win the minor premiership …. They were also robbed against the Bronocs in that semi…could have made the GF

All I said was their backs are weak . Because they are . I’m simply saying that in the spectrum of “the roosters are stacked across the park “ . Which is the narrative everyone is spinning on nrl circle jerk podcasts . When in actuality . They have limited depth in the backs . They have a stacked forward pack . But Whyte is just a kid , and the expectation he will carry this pack can go both ways . Leniu is a weapon off the bench for sure ,but there’s a very real chance that a lot of thier players have second year syndrome , as well as DCE simply being washed . He was horrible for manly last year .
The roosters will go as far as Teddy and Walker will take them . Mainly Teddy .
And I’m just death riding the dogs and Galvin hahaha trying to manifest it into reality .

If Toia is injured then they’re running , Tupou , Pauga and Talau . As it stands right now they’re running at least 1. And I don’t rate Billy smith .
I’m just saying . Marky mark , Billy smith , Toia and one of the tigers off cuts. I dunno …. We will see .
People are talking about that being the best backline in the comp. Which is ridiculous IMO. That’s all I’m referencing . That idea that that backline full strength is elite. I just don’t see it . For me that’s the place where you can get at the roosters . If I was an opposition coach that would be where I would target .
The knights for example I’d be looking to get in behind the ruck and find job in the middles.
Like us for example , Turuvas height , and Poles laziness are where I’d be looking to exploit .

I agree with most of what you said but the 2nd year thing can go both ways. Theyve unreal experience and good coaching to surround your Toia's and Whytes. I dont think 2nd year syndrome will be an issue. Walker should be coming in to his prime. Pack is full of origin quality, last chance for Teddy and DCE to win a prem. Alot of things lining up for me

Ill also be death riding the dogs. Although it didnt work so well with Penrith so wont put too much of my energy into it.
