Their speed is fine ..I’m more concerned about the lack of speed in the three quarters…Averillo is a start onoy ,,

Averillo will certainly help from an attacking point of view, I am far from confident he will be up to the mark in what is already a fragile right sided defence.
I am certain Averillo is a better fullback than Bula, but that’s another story.
When KPP defends on the right edge it certainly improves us significantly, but is it enough?
I think we put the blinkers on and focus too much on individual players ability, rather than looking at the big picture and ensuring we have a good balance of players and their attributes from 1-17.

KPP and Sam on the edges are the least of our worries and were important cogs when we were playing well …they are both above average players … I agree they need another middle starter ..I would keep Twal ( another one of our best) at 13…and get a younger guy you could play on the bench to move Pole to start …Sione and Seyfarth would be nice options to not need to rely on as best bench rotation every week..but are probably depth you would want playing a dozen or so NRL games a year

Twal has to be moved back to the middle rotation ASAP.
The 13 experiment worked ok earlier this season, but as I keep saying, him playing at 13 makes our forward pack for too slow, not enough explosive speed or line break threat.

“Worked Ok “…lol he was playing elite level and arguably our best player through that period …another that got injured (by friendly fire from your man Sayfarth ) and hasn’t been the same since

You are more concerned about the speed of the forwards rather than our turtle like backs ..that is absolutely wild

MAC, I’ve always known you have a good knowledge of emerging and junior talent, but this was your best episode, brilliant analysis from start to finish.
Reedy always demonstrates thorough and calculated knowledge .
