Yileen Gordon

So much depends on what he was offered. I think it's so unfair to judge any player without knowing that.
You only need to look at Utai to see how wrong we can be.

Welcome Yileen!! I hope we as supporters get behind every signing and give them every opportunity to reach their potential with the Tigers.

Over the years you get use to people making judgement due to the media or without really knowing the player or the pressures they face. With any player I think supporters should have faith in the signings & it's not just up to the recruitment officer either the coach has a say. Just give each & every player the opportunity to prove themselves before being quick to judge people & there abilities. Anything would be better then last years performance. Good luck to the tigers in 2014! Thanks for all the support as well & I respect every ones opinions

Most of our NSW Cup players arent any better than him so why not? The bloke isn't even on big money, who cares?

Potter Potter Potter…Yeah Mr personality is different alright....Good luck Mr Gordon.
Wests Tigers once again signing someone no one else wants.
Recruitment does not seem to have improved in fact it looks worse then ever. When is a professional recruitment officer going to be employed by the club ?

Why are you always so negative? You remind me of ink a while back except worse, although he was actually right haha

ha ha… yep. off seasons suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks!!

and anyway, i really liked utai! the term "possessed wombat" has gone down in analogy greatness in my opinion!

to be honest, ive been a bit disappointed with matt bell. i really thought he was going to tear it up, but still he has been a very solid performer.

Why are you so positive about Wests Tigers when all we do is sign other teams dud rejects. Why didn't we sign Russell Packer ?

How do you know what money anyone is on ?
Why are we always buying players no other team wants ? Braith Anasta, Eddy Pettybourne, Matt Bell etc etc etc

All I know is the salary cap is $5,100,000…Do you see a 5 Million dollar team running around at Concord ?

all those players are under the Sheens/Humpty era. and are now gone

In the Mayer/Potter era, things have improved but it's hard to attract talent when nothings on the market and your facilities are crap and your team is 2nd last.

Pat richards great, taupau great, paterson decent , austin decent, lulia okay.

And don't get me started on all the young talent they have resigned AS THEY PROMISED. "we are adopting a youth policy." They followed through hard!

Much better than Anasta bad, pettybourne bad, bell bad, thompson mediocre, etc. etc.

Easiest solution is use the bad comments as fuel for 2014 to prove everyone wrong

Buying Yileen Gordon is a bit like my wife going to the annual shoe sales at DJs & buying a pair that isnt quite the rite size…she knows its a bargain, but also knows it wont quite fit & will never quite work out,& may even experience a little pain in eventually coming to this conclusion..yet again.

Spot on. New era has begun. Sheens and Humpty are long gone, and with them are most of the back ended deals we had previous players on. That's the reason we haven't had a brilliant line up for years. We're starting fresh with Mayer and Potter and I cannot fault them thus far. You only have to look at the top sides (Roosters/Rabbitohs/Manly) to see how a balanced roster with marquee players in some positions and a mix of youth and experience can win you a premiership or run very close. Hopefully once all these back ended contracts are completely finished we will have quite a bit of money for a few marquee signings (I believe Mayer has stated possibly 2015 this will happen) and we will find ourselves in a situation to the Roosters when they signed Maloney, SBW, Jennings and O'Donnell. We've resigned a lot of our young players, and a few journeymen and upcoming players. We're heading in the right direction Irvine.

Ive always liked Buddy Gordon, he has a great reputation in relation to work ethic and alike.
I expect him to do well in State cup, and if required may prove to be an option if we hit some heavy injuries

Like I say to my son, if you start a sentence with "no offence", then you know you are about to state something that is going to offend someone - so why say it in the first place?

Geez, give the guy a chance. I'm sure Yileen knows he is a fair way off first grade, but he has a lot to prove so good luck to him. I wish you every success Buddy.

Hahaha it's ok. I'm sure he hasn't done his research on Buddy and he wouldn't even have half the nrl games that buddy has on you's. abit of advice have a look at the newtown vs tigers footage from last season & watch buddy run all ova the tigers cup side when he was way above playing weight & definitely not at his best. Another thing his not a player that no one wanted, there was other offers & he chose to go to the tigers. I don't want to comment on here anymore as if buddy knew I got caught up in even writing on here he wouldn't be very happy. Just remember the tigers came 2nd last & any changes would be better then that. I will just sit back & watch everyone criticise & I can't wait until he proves you all wrong in 2014\. Tigers for the top 8\. Thanks again for those who had positive comments
