Happy, regardless of what you wanna call it, this is a forum, and every time you post an opinion you leave yourself open to criticism. Being a relation to a player shouldn't give you a free pass, as long as it doesn't go too overboard.

I dunno , maybe your right , just personally I wouldn't go there

That's just me though ,maybe I'm going soft in my old age

Happy she put herself in the firing line, and GNR was only quoting words she said.

If you can't take the heat…. People in Glasshouses.... etc etc etc. - Thats all I'm saying champ.

This. There were a few who were critical of him and she was defending him and a made a bold statement. Not that theres anything wrong with it, but come on, she left herself open. And its not like i said anything offensive.

Not sure if its a good idea for relatives of players to get on here, cos chances are they'll take offense to something said, and you shouldn't feel the need to control yourself at the risk of personally offending someone, even if what you say is constructive, cos it will always cut someone who has a personal relationship with that player deeper than what it would anyone else, if at all.

So because she 'left herself open' someone had no choice but to punch her in the face…
Ahhh the internet.

Benjis mum used to be on here when he first started….she left pretty quick.
One or two ther players parents have been on here...its not easy, You CANNOT be objective because it IS peronal....Ive heard my son criticised and bagged ringside by drunk mugs who've never laced on a glove...u just gotta suck it up sometimes.

Probably for the best we got this problem out of the way when we did...not mid season

It is a shame that family members usually end this way

I had become quite friendly with another players parent and he was giving me some useful info that I was passing on to the Forum

Unfortunately he got annoyed with a poster comments , had a rant and then the club actually worked out who he was and was told to desist through the player

Shame because he was one of the nicest people I'd met on the Forum

Potter Potter Potter…Yeah Mr personality is different alright....Good luck Mr Gordon.
Wests Tigers once again signing someone no one else wants.
Recruitment does not seem to have improved in fact it looks worse then ever. When is a professional recruitment officer going to be employed by the club ?

I'm shocked. What a surprise.

Do some research and stop [automatically edited] signing players no one else Wants !

I don't see the problem, you pay stuff all for them,if they don't work out like Buddy,so be it,no great loss, but you may just get a diamond in the rough if you are willing to take a chance.

Ahhh the internet.

Lol bit dramatic there. If that had been just some random who was defending him, would you have had a problem? And your second point is correct, it is the internet. No one gets kowtowed to.

I've always wondered if our armchair criticism on these forums is affecting our players. While some posts about players are justified, there are many that are completely unwarranted.

At the end of the day, we are all armchair critics who are suffering from pre-season boredom

If it is affecting them , they were probably never going to make it anyway

I know if it was me , I'd be sticking it up everyone and showing them why they were wrong in their judgement

If you can't shut the critics up , its probably telling you something

If I was a player I'd stay away from these places on the net.

Hahaha it's ok. I'm sure he hasn't done his research on Buddy and he wouldn't even have half the nrl games that buddy has on you's. abit of advice have a look at the newtown vs tigers footage from last season & watch buddy run all ova the tigers cup side when he was way above playing weight & definitely not at his best. Another thing his not a player that no one wanted, there was other offers & he chose to go to the tigers. I don't want to comment on here anymore as if buddy knew I got caught up in even writing on here he wouldn't be very happy. Just remember the tigers came 2nd last & any changes would be better then that. I will just sit back & watch everyone criticise & I can't wait until he proves you all wrong in 2014\. Tigers for the top 8\. Thanks again for those who had positive comments

Sorry to disappoint you but I didn't disappear & by your comments you do not have any idea on what the termination was regarding. No he didn't write on a blackboard, no he didn't act in an offensive way towards students or women. Just use those brains of yours. There is a reason no one would release what was done. It was a joke between the boys that unfortunately a teacher seen. A lot of people have been questioning the harsh action. So sorry to say you's weren't right & buddy was doing great in pre season & I'm sure the coach wouldn't be happy to be a reference if he had done something so bad. So before you make judgement know all the facts. Thank you to those that stood up for me but it doesn't matter to me what people think coz I know the truth !

good on you for not disappearing leesh.

from what i have read it was a play on words name he signed in with, and whilst this is not a massive thing for anyone to do that would warrant terminating a contract, it was a bad error in judgement for someone who would likely be under more scrutiny than other players would.

its a shame, but all the best to you and yileen and family.

Definitely agree. It was a stupid decision on buddy's behalf & he is the one who is unfortunately copping the brunt for the actions displayed by players in the last few weeks. It was an alias & for the people that knew exactly what it was they were more then shocked at the outcome. But I am buddy's worst critic & always will be. It was a very ill decision & unfortunately a joke between boys others seen & were offended by it. He is very remorseful as I'm sure you could imagine & his story was in the telegraph yesterday. If it was a major incident where he stuffed up on the drink or wasn't performing at training I would take the brunt of some people's posts but quite a small error compared to the players bashing their pregnant or non pregnant women or groping women etc etc etc

You said he is copping the brunt of the actions of the players in the last few weeks

Your making it sound like some players are playing up

I totally disagree with the actions aimed at you by some on the Forum , but Buddy has been in grade for a fair while now and if I was on my last chance I'd be doing everything in my powers to keep a clean slate even if it meant alienating other players

Some of us here would of killed and died for the chances Buddy has had

He has bloody talent , but he is wasting it to a degree where you would almost say it is self destruction

I wish you ,Buddy and your family the best for the future , and if he does get another chance tell him you'll kick his a%&e till his nose bleeds if he does the wrong thing

So what are you saying Leesh? The club scape-goated Buddy? There is some sort of conspiracy?

I understand you setting the story straight, but really so far you haven't and if anything murkied the waters.

We all heard the GOOD stories of Buddy over the break as well, however knew the reputation he brought with him to the tigers before he was signed.

Now granted, you don't owe us the Forumers anything, however call me old fashioned, but either say what's going on, and get it out in the open, or don't say anything at all.

I admire your cajones for coming back though. Not many would have.

Yeah Buddy was an easy target for Grant Mayer.
Mayer could make himself look good..which he loves doing at minimal cost to the club
Mayer strikes me as a bit up himself…It will be interesting times the next few months on and off the field.
