YOUR JOB?

It's not everyday you get to brief the Prime Minister on drugs, but that's what I got to do today.

Not sure Happy. I can't seem to upload the smallest of images either at the moment either. I'll see if Kul can look into it.

I'm betting Abbott was asking why you got the Ice out of the freezer for

Or maybe he was offering Captain Dan an Ice Cream

Slightly off subject , but I was listening to Merrick on the radio today talking about Ice and talking to users on the radio

Maybe I'm very naïve , but I had no idea how quickly people become hooked to the stuff

Stay away from this stuff or any other drugs everyone

The WT's are our high

Your not serious are you Happy 😕

I thought I would be super nervous as it was $13 million worth of gear sitting on the table but once he walked into the room, it all sort of clicked and went really well thankfully.

I work in Aged Care, Hobbo. It's not exactly where I thought or hoped I would end up in life, that's for sure, but I guess it kind of comes with the territory of the Central Coast - the aged care capital of Australia

That said, it's a very noble job that has many rewards (not monetary though lol). I have learned so much from our older generation - they have incredible stories to tell, and I have become a much wiser and far more compassionate person as a result of working closely with them.

It's more addictive than heroin, and is also more lethal - you walk into a meth lab without breathing apparatus gear and you can drop dead before you can turn around and walk out the door. The demand for this stuff is only increasing which is the scariest part.

Blue suit willow???

ps. on Abbott. I have spoken with him twice, once for 20 odd mins up on the central coast. the guy is awesome. really down to earth.

he came across as a man who wanted to do what is right…

I have tremendous respect for the man despite some obvious timing issues.

Back on topic - frustrated by work today and spent considerable time on seek. non north ryde job here I come.

Left school after year 10,got an apprenticeship as a Fitter and Machinist at the Small Arms Factory Lithgow.
Was there for 7 and a half years, left to work as a mechanical fitter in an underground coalmine, clocked up almost 25 years when they closed the mine on the 27th of march this year, coincidently was the same day I had a fall and fractured my skull.
No alcohol was involved in case you were wondering,it was early morning.
I am still in recovery mode but feeling much better, the headaches that were there all day are only there for a short time after I wake up each morning now,my inner ear is still full of dried blood which is very annoying.
Doctors say I have to wait for it fall out naturally, which is not fast enough for my liking, feeling much better now and looking forward to my new job.
I will start a new job in correctional services on monday,I am keen for a change after doing fitting my entire career, the job is casual but I am hoping it will become full time as I could see myself staying there until I retire, which unfortunately is a way off.
Have enjoyed reading the life and times of our fellow forumers, and what a talented and diverse bunch you all are,I think far smarter than the average NRL fan.
