Some interesting responses here, keep them coming.

Well , add yours then Willow

You, along with a handful of others on here already know what I do Happy, but ok, I'll respond. I'm a Federal Agent with the AFP. Been doing it for 12 years and I am an investigator first and foremost, but have spent a few years in digital forensics and I've also spent a few years doing higher risk tactical work. Currently working drug investigations at the moment but I was recently specialising in cyber crime which was very interesting. At the end of the day, I find it a very rewarding and interesting job.

Love to know what Willow undertakes as a profession. Must be highly paid job to reside on the North shore.

I do ok thanks, but I live with my in-laws which is the only reason I can afford to live on the north shore.

Willow is the forums 'fun sherriff'….that really keeps him busy...

A necessary task in order to keep this place enjoyable for 99% of posters. I am under no illusions that some people on here don't think too highly of me, and that comes with my real job too. What I will say is that I like to help people and I like to give back where I can. I've always enjoyed sharing and reading other people's comments on here. Always respect the rules though.

Thank you for your response Willow. Sounds like you have a very interesting career and in my opinion do an excellent job keeping this forum fair and enjoyable. We are all passionate supporters but sometimes we need someone to keep us all in line. Thank you mate.

Super cool Willow, I did some work in the early days with the AHCCC when I was an engineer dabbling in "Ethical Hacking" for a bank.

The Cyber crime thing is very interesting and those guys are simply brilliant.

Sorry mate , but I thought people would be interested in your job

And we all love you mate and we respect what you have to do on here

My primary occupation is as a Financial Planner.

I own my business and love the job. Despite the misconceptions, financial planning is a relationship business and is very interesting and rewarding. Nothing more satisfying than a client achieving a goal that we've mapped out together.

I have also always had jobs in football (both league and union), mostly in recruitment, but also coaching, in the last few years Ive combined my financial planning skills with my footy stuff and now have a player management business also. Im partnered with a former NRL player who is a mate of mine and we have been running for a few years.
We have decided to put a focus on off field development. Preparing for life after footy (whether they be as an 18 yo old or 35 yo), we do things like social media training, building networking skills, arranging work experience and money management.
It is a passion and something I love.
It also lets me watch about 500-600 games of footy a year, which is great for a tragic like me

That's ok Happy. I don't generally broadcast what I do, but it's certainly a good conversation starter as I have worked on some pretty interesting jobs over the years, and I guess what I consider normal, most people don't.

Thanks, I always like to refer to Kul as the genius behind this forum, as he is the one who got it up and running, but I like to keep this place welcoming for people to come and post. I probably get a bit short at times with people, which I don't like to do, but it's one of those things where the rules we have in place have largely helped to keep this place running for so long, plus the other moderators who volunteer their time also do a great job.

Lol. Flip so true. The funny thing is I reminded them to put the bin out beforehand. You just cant trust them i tell ya.

Nah, I'm a third year uni student studying Primary Education, currently working in Child Care. I want to pick up units for teaching children with Special Needs and look at doing something like that in the future.
The plan is to graduate end of next year, go into casual teaching, then full time and eventually teach overseas. And as I said I wouldn't mind now and then working with children in special needs.

I'm not a teacher but taught overseas and it's one of the most rewarding vocations. Also taught kids with special needs and working with those kids was undoubtedly the most rewarding experience in my life. They are so full of life and have an amazing spirit. Had a smile all day long.

I am a Train Controller, 365x24x7 full on job, very close to retirement and can hardly wait

Seems to be quite a lot of "sick passenger delays" these days rex. Hope you haven't had the misfortune of coming across that.

Train Driver

Was a great job once, but sadly it has now become top heavy in upper management at the expense of its ground workforce, lots of pencil pushers and paper shufflers, many from outside the industry who really haven’t got a clue.
