Your most unpopular opinion about league

- merritt is the most overrated player in the game
- thurston and queensland origin players in general are mostly out of form (barring inglis, hodges, scott) and if form is anything to go by NSW should win this series
- ferguson is nowhere near ready for origin, still gives away costly penalties and can miss crucial tackles
- fulton is the least effective backrower in the comp in terms of attacking prowess and hurting the opposition in defence.
- farah is the best hooker in the comp this year by a long way
- cronk has cost melbourne at least 2 victories this year from poor end-of-game kicking

Im a wests tigers fan that cant stand Robbie Farah. Doesn't get more unpopular than that.

Yeah but i think theres a few people who would cop to that. At the end of the day though as long as he doesn't going around in his spare time kicking babies, the only thing that maters for supporters is what he does on the field

My Dislike is based on what he does on the field.

I dont know him personally.

He is our most wholehearted player, shudder to think how bad we would be travelling without him out there. Goes a bit overboard with the whinging to ref's but most of the time it is warranted.

when Slater, Cronk & Smith finishes their time at storm, Bellamy wont be able to cope with not having a competitive team,. He will retire, the franchise will re-locate or cease to exist completely

I reckon you will find they all retire together

Just my opinion though

Can't say it would be too unpopular if the Storm folded. There would be plenty of people who would welcome it. They are scum. Successful, yes, but cheating scum all the same.

My most unpopular opinion:

Greg Inglis 'summersaulted' and deliberately landed on his head in each of those spear tackles perpetrated by Inu, Jason King and Richie Fauoso, in order to gain a penalty for his team.

Salary cap cheats have not been punished nearly enough… Dogs and Melbourne both won a company only 2 years after being caught. How is that fair?

I also still agree with this. This is fun agreeing with myself

Most unpopular opinion…...

Wayne Bennett is an overated gimp. Anyone could do equal with what he has had over the years.

I hate it when a 'superstar' is leaving or threatening to go to rugby or whatever, and then everyone says we have to do all we can to keep them in the game, special funds etc. NO WAY! Let them go, and for every superstar leaving, there are 100 new players looking to get a crack at the main game.

I agree with the Bennett statements. Have a look at who his assistant coaches where for every premiership he has won, Bellamy for most, Stone, can't remember who he had at the dragons off the top of my head. From what I've heard he has very little to do with the day to day coaching and is more of a motivational speaker if anything and that has been the case for a long, long time. I remember my uncle telling me that a good 15 years ago when he was working as a youth worker with a lot of kids who played NRL and reserve grade.
Cameron Smith is the biggest grub to ever pull on a boot and the game would be a lot better without him in it. Take your maroon coloured glasses off and watch him closely, he rarely if ever makes a tackle without dropping the elbow in while they are on the ground or throwing in some other grubby tactic to win the ruck. That's where his true talent lies, in getting away with it. I've also heard that he had a fair bit to do with talking Bellamy into the wrestling coach back when it all kicked off but obviously can't confirm that.
I have met Andrew Johns several times and he is a complete and utter wanker. Totally in love with himself.

I agree with both your points

Unpopular opinion that I’ve only recently formed - expanding the comp to include a second Brisbane team is a stupid idea in my opinion. That is not expanding the game. People in Brisbane already support league, so this isn’t going to bring in new fans, it will canabolise the support of existing teams. Not to mention the fact that the new team would forever be in the shadows of the broncos. Most fans want a second Brisbane team to dilute the power of the broncos (and I hate the broncos as much as anyone), but we should be looking at ways to improve the other clubs so they can be as big and powerful as the broncs. That way, rugby league would really thrive. I’d expand with two teams - one in Perth, and get the bears to enter a team in Adelaide, then we would have a truly national comp.
