I believe the club is moving in the right direction, finally.

Results on the field may not be great, but that's what happens when you have the most inexperienced side in the Comp.

We have a new coach who is trying to build a solid playing platform and culture within the playing group, football staff trying to sort out the salary cap mess, a new board not wracked with infighting and petty politics, a new CEO on the way, new sponsors have jumped on board, a search is underway for a new home base/ training facilities …

Sure their are negatives too, but I believe overall we are on the way to slowly turning this club around.

Problem is the results most likely won't be seen for a good 12-18 months at least. And that's a hard pill to swallow for supporters of a club like the Tigers.

He's not doing that bad of coaching job but he could do better, he has to let Mitchell Moses play his own game a bit more, sometimes its good to teach him how to be structured for the team but then sometimes its good to let him play with his instincts and what's in front of him,

I was dismayed by Moses' performances earlier in the year, but I've been pretty happy with his involvement in the last few weeks.

I reckon the first grade team will be better next year than they are this year, i'm not saying they will win the premiership next year but they will be better and probably the following year, but everything has to stay similar like the coach and the halves, fullback ex. because if they going to chop and change the team and the coach they will be going back to square one, because the rookies from last year and this year will start to become seasoned nrl players and more experienced, because you cant be getting any crapper if your playing more nrl games each week, you learn something new everytime you play- experience brings confidence, and some players may also start to fill out a bit more physically which may help certain players, I think some people have to be a bit more patient which a lot aren't.

Yeah, but that is just natural progression CT.

So where is the improvement of the individual? For mine, that and the general lack of playing to our squads strengths has been the biggest disappointment this year. Thought that many of the players improved under Potter, particularly last year before a mounting injury toll became chronic, and of course the few players led by the the most powerful one that ultimately destroyed our year.

Hearing the coach talk about mediocre training prior to the Manly game, having not addressed the issue, made this already somewhat disillusioned supporter angry.

Hearing JT talk about mediocre training upset me too FG. This is what Mary, the Dragons coach said after their loss to the Roosters " We train hard, (each and every time) so we can play pretty"
I think JT should take a leaf out of Marys book.

JT may not just have been referring to training, he may have been firing a shot across the bough of some of our young 'stars' who apparently spend a bit more time partying than perhaps they should.

Im trying to compile a few quotes to help bring a bit attention to the frustrations of Wests Tigers supporters.

Instead of help i get nothing but s***.

I'm sorry isn't everyone supporting your Winging club is sooo crap and everyone should be sacked boring as agenda - poor didums

Is that a good quote ?

The NRL should do much more financially to assist clubs in growth areas including our own such as Camden, Macarthur, Campbelltown and Oran Park regions. This could include payments to local schools, clubs and the provision of academies and first rate training facilities in those areas that are exclusively linked to WTs.

The NRL should also be providing lucrative incentives for clubs to produce and develop local junior talent. This could include a 50% reduction in the salary cap of salaries for local juniors who make the NRL. By definition I mean local juniors right through not players bussed in for HM and SG Ball. There should also be a $25,000 transfer fee associated with poaching local juniors which would be deducted from the NRL salary cap of the club poaching the player. The transfer fee to be paid to the club losing the player to go into further junior development.

Thanks for your comment Baboon, perhaps next time you could study up on a thing called punctuation so we all know where to ooohh and ahhh.

And further, if we are a development club this should receive some official status from the NRL. If we are to provide the Martins and Funakis for other clubs, well isn't it in the best interest of the NRL to support our club in this endeavour? The NRL receives tv funding off the back of players produced by a few districts, country areas and Queensland. It is about time the NRL started to put money back into where our next generation of players are produced. I'll get off my soap box now but I am sick and tired of Roosters supporters advising that the era of the local junior is dead yet that club constantly scours the south west for talent. The young Aust Schols front rower they talk up is from Campbelltown. Doesn't that get your blood boiling?

Hey Abraham, i think out of all of the supporters of Taylor and the structures he is trying to bring in your post seems the most measured and genuine.

While comments like "thats what happens when you have the most inexperienced side in the comp" are subjective and open to opinion overall i agree with you.

Things are changing for the better, the direction is long over due.

The trouble is doubts remain about the people in charge of making sure we get there. Nothing they have done at this point in time has been an improvement. Its all been one big step back in the hope of getting somewhere down the line.

All well and good IF we get there.

This has to happen. Hopefully within the next 5 to 10 years.

So Taylor has not got a strict professional code or ethics working at the club by the above comments the younger players are just enjoying themselves interesting !

this support you ask for is not the NRL responsibility… That is the NSWRL role

People like yourself and Geo shouldnt mistake your own passion as being equal to those who may not post on forums or attend every game. We are not the futurte of this club and we are not the ones who are going to fund any rebuild.

Its the borderline fans, the new fans, the young fans, they are the ones who the board need to worry about.

Yeah nah. Your original post asked for constructive criticism and I thought it was fair enough but from then on you have just laid into other fans. Saying stuff like the above is not only is it incorrect it is offensive.

As for it being incorrect and offensive i dont apologise for any of it, its the truth.

Im 45 and have supported this club for going on 35 years but im well aware of my ties to the club and how i spend my money or show my interest. If the club panders to people of my age they will continue to go nowhere.

The fact that we are still here after all these years of mediocrity is proof that you or i are not the future, we are the present and the past and dont need to be won over.

How many new fans we have attracted this year?

You are right.

I have never seen as much whingeing on this forum as of now. It never stops. I for one am sick of it!!!

Rumours from the dopey internet get taken as the truth and completely ignores the club itself.

We are rebuilding after 10 years of mismanagement. This will take longer than 6 months. If after a couple of years and nothing has changed, then you can whinge all you like. Until then please give it a rest.

My mother used to say " if you can't say anything nice about someone, then say nothing".

Gotta love Alanis… One very cool lady. Doesn't mince words and she tells it like it is....

Unless WT start winning games consistently, we aren't going to atract many new fans I'm afraid. :supporter:
