Hearing JT talk about mediocre training upset me too FG. This is what Mary, the Dragons coach said after their loss to the Roosters " We train hard, (each and every time) so we can play pretty"
I think JT should take a leaf out of Marys book.

The Saints lost did'nt they. Good one.

Saints played team running =3rd
We played 16th

Good one.

A loss is a loss. What was the result when we played Souths? Oh yes that's right.

Which round?

Yeah nah, unless the new boards job is relocation 2 years wont cut it.

People like yourself and Geo shouldnt mistake your own passion as being equal to those who may not post on forums or attend every game. We are not the futurte of this club and we are not the ones who are going to fund any rebuild.

Its the borderline fans, the new fans, the young fans, they are the ones who the board need to worry about.

Yeah nah. Your original post asked for constructive criticism and I thought it was fair enough but from then on you have just laid into other fans. Saying stuff like the above is not only is it incorrect it is offensive.

Tiger in the Wrong more like it.

If the above is laying into other fans i must be missing something.

As for it being incorrect and offensive i dont apologise for any of it, its the truth.

Im 45 and have supported this club for going on 35 years but im well aware of my ties to the club and how i spend my money or show my interest. If the club panders to people of my age they will continue to go nowhere.

The fact that we are still here after all these years of mediocrity is proof that you or i are not the future, we are the present and the past and dont need to be won over.

How many new fans we have attracted this year?

Probably got a couple of new supporters (depending on whether the coach has breathing parents), to partially offset the most likely loss of many.

Guess it comes down to who has the larger immediate family, Taylor or Potter.

2\. We need to drop the Sydney Centric Strategy and start thinking like a NATIONAL Franchise. Its a big place Australia; Asia; Southern Hemisphere. Taking the team to the people through game allocations will grow awareness; memberships & potential sponsors.

I'm all for this. I've said it before and i'll say it again, why aren't we looking for opportunities to play games elsewhere that are paying the dollars like the eels and rabbitohs have atm? What's one home game a year away from home if it pays a million dollars.

I don't buy, nor support the relocation business though. As incompetent as we are, we've made our sacrifice by giving up the club we supported before the JV. If relocation is needed, it should be another team. I'm pretty sure that that was apart of the terms when the JV formed, that by joining forces we'd be exempt from any future relocation.

We ate the pill years ago, definitely no chance of relocation.

Expectation, when not met, leads to dis-appointment.
Constant dis-appointment leads to frustration.
Frustration leads to anger.
This is what we all have at the moment.
Only cure is to win, consistently.

In the real world the NRL may say relocate or bugger off all together. As Ink said what happened in 99 means nothing now.

How so? I could be wrong but i thought the merger agreement squashed any potential relocation. If not does this apply also to the dragons?

I don't think the NRL would consider moving those franchises that all ready made sacrifices in the formation of the NRL.

But I do believe the NRL would support and provide assistance to any current NRL Franchise who used vision and strategic planning to relocate into a new traffic generator to secure there long term future as a national franchise.

As Ink says, making sacrifices in 99 will mean very little in 2020\. Especially if we are broke!

I've never heard of that agreement bring part of our license. But if the merger breaks down then the license doesn't automatically revert to one partner. The NRL could take back the license if they wished. That's a prettybig bargaining chip to get someone to relocate.
