Halatau sat on the bench to start the game, when he did get some minutes he spent a lot of it filling in for Farah who was off the field having a rest. Halatau then played a little more consistently towards the end of the game, popping a keep it alive pass in the lead up to Tedesco's try and also being on hand to clean up the scraps to score one of his own.

It was every bit a trial and he was here and there with no real chance to build any momentum.

I see where you are coming from. Halatau and akauloa both offer utility but the difference is halatau can play a bit of hooker. Sita is probably more of a back at a pinch but we have Siro who can cover the halves if needed. I think akauloa offers a bit more impact but halatau is probably a more practical choice. If Farah were to go down mid game we'd be completely stuffed.

I'm not sold on Sue starting in the second row. Santi but offer more, with his business in defence.
I liked Taupau starting at 13\. In the video highlights of the trail, he seemed to be hitting the baller up wider than the 8 and 10\. Which gave us more impact in attack. The opposition defence will have to spread a bit wider making our front rowers jobs easier. This should keep him happy as well. A happy Taupau is a good Taupau. IMO.

Nofoaluma had an Op to repair a partial year in his ACL at the end of last season…..won't be back till at least Round 3-5....

Hypothetically speaking. If we still had Taqele Naryaravoro in our squad I think he may have made our 1st this year. He was on fire for the Waratahs this weekend. Scoring to tries and making too many mistakes until he got Yellow carded.
Naiqama should fill in pretty well for Nofoaluma. He has the skills but is on the short side.

He has certainly impressed me so far , I was one of his doubters
