Tamou, final year in the NRL and some (at the club, also... more than likely) want him to be the captain despite the abysmal effort he showed in 2021.
Atrocious really.
Not a matter wanting him to be. He will be.
Another poor decision by the club.
Surely there's some one on field that can captain whilst we await ADs return.
Laurie?
No way. For the sake of argument, Twal. But it’s redundant.
Nothing is redundant.
The fans have a voice.
Remember when the club wanted to sign Mason but didn't because the fans had a cry ?
Yeah, if you start listening to the fans you should start sitting with them..... even Blind Freddy knows Tamou isn't a captains shoelace and Brooks can't lead a team and Nofo is close to the worst winger in the comp.
Adjustments need to be made.
I’m still waiting for the club to punt Brooks because the fans don’t like him. Should be any day now ?
Do you talk to people, NRL fans... that aren't Tigers fans?
Only asking because, there's a pretty universal opinion of Brooks outside this forum.
The clubs opinion is all that matters.
**The clubs opinion has us falling short every year with an incapable 7...**
Time for a proper audit, not by the yes men either.
I get your argument, that.. at the end of the day.. it's up to the club.
So was bringing in Anasta, losing Gibbs, Ryan and Heino... for Adam Blair. Bringing in Mbye, Grub and McQueen....
Need to put light on such poor decisions.
That’s just a matter of opinion. At the end of the day, the club will do what they want, despite fans stamping their feet. Brooks isn’t the first and won’t be the last player that a club persists with that a section of the supporter base can’t stand. At least we are at the point that you and everyone accepts that he will be here in 2022. Of course there is some goal posting moving, but that’s normal I guess.
I wouldn't be so confident he's a Tiger 2023 or maybe even mid season.
After what was on display last year, he needs to fire or he's getting the chop... especially if there's offers on the table, which the media will lead us to believe.
Interesting times ahead either way.
Sorry mate, but I take that with a grain of salt. First it was he won’t be here in 2022, then it was “ok he will, but he won’t play 7”. Then Sheens says it will be him at 7, Hastings at 6, then it’s “but it won’t be the whole season”. The goal posts continuously are moved.
