BTW is there any other team in the comp with so much uncertainty over so many key positions (halfback and fullback)?

Sheens started it in pre-season saying Lui would start the year until Lote was ready for fullback. All this chopping and changing is no good for anyone. I know Tuqiri needs some time to adapt, but that shouldn't affect the halfback spot as Moltzen is clearly not the answer at the back, even as a stop gap.

Yeh I am not a fan of this either. I wouldnt change my 1, 6, 7 or 9 unless I had to because of injury or a complete reversal of form.

However, I think that one of the reasons for this is that Moltzen, whilst a very good footballer, doesnt have the full attributes of any particular position. I can understand why Sheens has tried to mould him into a fullback as that suits his running/supporting game (which are his strengths).

Given we have Marhsall and Farah he probably doesnt need to be a genuine halfback in order to play in the 7\. I would still prefer one though.

This is a very important game for us as it can set the trend for the season ahead. We win and we`ll be rolling along very confidently, we lose and the pressure will intensify even this early on. In saying this we need to play very aggressively against the Eels and therefore I think i`d go with Smeg and play Sean Meaney who is atleast playing fullback week in week out. I`ve seen Meaney play about 6-7 times and think he lacks a bit of speed off the mark, but the fact that he does run the ball aggressively is the main factor for me against a physical side such as the Eels.

Eddie and Gobbs picked the same starting 13 that I would have chosen. I reckon Fitzy will be in the 14 to 17 somewhere. I would never play Fulton and Flanagan in the same team if I had a fit squad. Put another big bopper in the 17 and give them some good game time. Fifita looks ready to join the big boys.

I don't think Mullaney is ready. Lazarus and Moltzen at 1 and 7 would do me fine.
