I'm not a big fan of Lovett but I wouldn't be dropping him just yet.

If Lawrence cops a week then Lovett to start with one of Fine/Cassell/Parahi/Griffin coming in.
Or if JT would rather a prop then Jordan Grant/Dallas Graham

Will be enough…

You think? Lovett and Moses on the right edge will be eaten alive by the eels backrowers. Taylor must pick a powerfull defender on that right edge. Aloiai, Edwards or Sue has to fill the spot or we are gone.

Simona to wing ; Chee Kam to centre; Farah to hooker; Halatau to replace Lovett

Really disappointed in Halatau , I think it was their third try when they carved us back up the guts and Halatau barely moved and then doesn't bother chasing with any intent

Team leaders don't lead like that sorry

I won't be upset if he is playing NSW Cup based on that alone

Halatau has always had that in him. Its been my biggest criticism of him over the years and the reason i was filthy we got him back from the dogs. He did it a few times in 2014 and cost us badly, but surprisingly not once in 2015 and i was really happy with him and was hopeful he erradicated it from his game. Last 2 weeks he's been poor IMO.

If you want to drop Nofo you have rocks in your head, looked threatening with the ball each time.

True mate.

I was mystified by his lack of urgency in defence and intensity in attack. Looks massively underdone?

Maybe the old legs can't handle a short turnaround? But like you said, as a leader you dig deeper than the next guy.

I have more chance of being selected than Lovett has of being dropped. We need to really beef up our defence, Parra will have a field day up the middle. Edwards is a noted hitter so maybe he has to be in the mix. If they play with the intensity they showed last night they will get lapped

That is a much better team defensively.

Gives Lovett less minutes which usually means a better game from him.

Robbie's addition is also very timely so long he realises it's not his team anymore. Good early ball to the halves when they want it and abit of his classy touches here and there would be awesome. 40+ tackles should also tighten up our middle third in defence.

No excuses this week. We have to at the very least complete our sets, execute our structures and make them earn everything they do. Only then will everyone take us seriously in 2016.

Anything less and it would mean the first 2 weeks were not a true indication of where we are at as a club in 2016.
