Your team vs Panthers?

I reckon Latu would top 120kg from the look of him and RCG has some size about him too (and has actually started to run with some venom in the last few weeks).

1\. Tedesco
2\. Nofoaluma

Since the thread is calling for my team, not the one I'm expecting to get picked, I'll go with this:

1\. Tedesco
2\. Nofoaluma
3\. Chee Kam
4\. Simona
5\. Heleta
6\. Moses
7\. Brooks
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Seumanufagai
11\. Sue
12\. Marsters
13\. Taylor
14\. Lawrence
15\. Felise
16\. Aloiai
17\. Liddle

It's been made pretty clear that Cherrington isn't considered a hooking option any more, Rowdy needs a rest and I think Tim Grant has been outplayed by our other three props.
Ava, Woodsy and JJ are all capable of playing big minutes, and the Panthers don't exactly have the biggest props going around so I don't think it'll cost us. New defensive combinations may cause trouble but they're all professionals right?
Sue has to be told to find the opposition half and hit him as hard as he can as often as he can. Watching the Raiders game, Tapine was an absolute monster and he isn't built all to differently to Sue. Don't understand Aloiai's minutes at the moment so I'd rather he come off the bench to provide impact, he can play up the guts if the props are struggling (or Sue, whichever of the two feels like it). Taylor came to us because he wanted to play at 13 in first grade, so let's bloody pick him there before we lose him.
I like Frozone but he and Moses just can't be trusted next to each other, Chee Kam in almost on defence alone. I think Nofo definitely struggles defensively but he's playing catch up 90% of the time and his runs are too valuable to lose.
From what I've seen Heleta is basically Nofo but a bit better under the high ball, he'd definitely help out with yardage with only three props.
Halatau to 'rest' for concussion and a specialist hooker (or two) to be picked.

Fine lined up for the Dogs last game so not an option.

Forgot he'd left, edited to put Masters in!

1\. Tedesco
2\. Rankin (GK)
3\. Naiqama (seriously needs some work done on his defence though, it's diabolical)
4\. Simona
5\. Addo-Carr
6\. Moses
7\. Brooks
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Seumanafagai
11\. Aloiai
12\. Felise
13\. Taylor

14\. Sue
15\. Grant
16\. Liddle
17\. Chee Kam

Rankin for Nofo as Nofo's performances have been just horrid, and Rankin can kick even though he's not threatening as a winger (why Taylor used Moses to kick is still a mystery).

Lawrence out of the 17\. I got flamed for saying this a couple of weeks back and will probably get flamed again…but he just isn't cutting it and is getting progressively worse every week. Poor defensively and in attack.

Lovett out because he's not a first grader.

Liddle...if he's going to be our long term hooker, let's bleed him. It's unlikely we'll make the 8 from here anyway, may as well give him game time. He's not going to do worse that Halatau.

Can not agree on Lovett or Lawrence, Lovett has been getting better every week and agreed he is no super star but he is doing a good job. Lawrence is making a lot of gyrate charges with quick play the balls that is getting our attack on the front foot and his defence is also good. Of course if he was holding back a superstar I would agree..but he isn't

Well I would go with
1 Tedesco
2 Nofoaluma
3 Simona
4 Naquima
5 Rankin
6 Moses
7 Brooks
8 Woods
9 Farah
10 Seumunifungai
11 Alioia
12 Sue
13 Taylor

14 Lawrence
15 Lovett
16 Grant
17 Felise
18 Hunt

It will be the same team other than Farah in for Felise.

100% right…we go through this exercise every week picking a team we would like to see, but in reality we know exactly what the team will be. It is a fruitless exercise, but I guess Iam not unhappy with the team although I would like to find a spot for JJ and I would certainly have JAC on one wing

Halatua needs to get through NRL medical tests as it's 2nd concussion in 3 weeks…

Damn Taylor trying to squeeze players out.

he is creating an environment of softness at this club by not allowing farah and halatau to play

we clearly have so many options at 9 after ballin stuffs up his knee, farah is concussed in origin and unfit 4 days later and halatau also concussed…

I know the team has been picked but this is just a thought for after the 3rd SOO. We will hopefully have all players available and it is dependent on Rankin's ability in defence in the middle of the park
1 Tedesco
2 Nofoaluma
3 Naiqama
4 Chee Kam
5 Simona
6 Moses
7 Brooks
8 Woods
9 Rankin
10 Ava
11 Sue
12 Lawrence
13 Taylor
14 Farah
15 Alioia
16 Felise
17 Grant
I picked most of the team based on the fact Taylor doesn't change too much but with Farah now looking like a bench player coming on after 20 minutes if Rankin could cover that time in the middle when Farah comes on he could go back to wing Simona to centre and MCK back to forwards. If anything happens to Farah we can revert back to that and leave ET at lock. Being a half he Rankin should give decent service out of dummy half. It also gives us more size in the forwards rather than having Halatau as back up hooker.

Agree on both counts.

"Gyrate changes" is a new term to me. Do you mean he's twisting on the ground to get on his belly? Or spinning in his run?

1\. Teddy
2\. Nofo
3\. Simona
4\. MCK/Peni
5\. JAC
6\. Moses
7\. Brooks
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Ava
11\. Lawrence
12\. Aloiai
13\. ET
14\. Sue
15\. Grant
16\. JJ
17\. Lovett
