The four-match ban for Joey Leilua means veteran Chris Lawrence or Michael Chee Kam will be named at right centre for Friday's clash against South Sydney.

🙁

Is this media speculation?

The Herald writer who always gets our stories right...

He did mention Hoffman is an outside chance, but MCK or Lawry's experience the driving force in deciding etc.

It's a surefire recipe for disaster if that's the case.

Lawrence can hit a whole, just need someone to get us within striking distance then...

1. Put it on his chest.
Or
B. Thread it through off the boot

Lawry can't move sideways...any decent stepper will beat him.

Would rather him than Chee Kam though.

Yes.

Author is Christian Nicolussi.

Not sure there is much choice though.

Hoffman is a kid and Gagai, Roberts, AJ first up...all Kangaroos...would be asking a lot.

It’s a tough one, Rabbitohs left side is their stronger side with Campbell graham and Johnston there. Putting Talau there and Hoffman wing might be our best option.

Well I will be called Sheenius for this But.....I’d go with
1 Nofoaluma
2 Bradley
3 Doueihi
4 Mbye
5 Talau
6 Reynolds
7 Brooks
8 Alioia
9 Grant
10 Clark
11 Garner
12 Taylor
13 Eisenhuth
14 Mikalea
15 Packer
16 Chee-Jam
17 Walters

Id like to see taylor on an edge. Remember him playing well there for the warriors years ago.

Rowdy will handle it, just like putting on an old glove

He’ll get destroyed in the centres. Not his fault but his body isn’t up to it anymore.

May as well put a cruise ship in there, it would turn around faster than Lawrence.

people also need to remember he played left centre practically his whole life, he'd struggle out on the right. there's no right answer in who we pick to be honest, but I do think that it might be too much to ask of Talau or Hoffman to deal with the presence of a James Roberts. I think Chee-Kam will start.

MCK would be terrible imo he dosent have the temperament or lateral speed for big minutes.I honestly dont like him covering in the centres for any time at all for those reasons

From what I last viewed, Graham is no speedster. Sure he is a fine player and strong, but young Hoffman and also Talau are both big strong centres.

Rowdy should of retired last year ...Chee Kam adds ZERO . I have said before if this is as good as it gets it’s a problem . You read on the forum about some depth and some very talented young players well where is it ! I would rather a younger play step up and given an opportunity instead of seeing Chee Kam running on and offering nothing and Rowdy having to warm up for an hour to move the rheumatism !!

Off the mark he’s not super fast but in space he can run. He has been one of their better players this year

What ever the side is, it needs to have Marshall at 6 and starting. Reynolds, if at all, on the bench. The rest I'll leave up to wiser heads than mine.

Every head is wiser than yours if you think Benji should be at 6

There is a culture change happening at the club...the hail mary days of Benji are where they should be..on the pine...Brooks and JR are Madges choice and they have been going good although the keyboard coaches seem to think otherwise..

Madge is the coach,he constructs the gameplans to the players he has to fill the positions he needs and to do the job..Benji has had many a year in the limelight of being WTs brilliant best,,,age catches up with all the NRL players and Benjis time has come to see change …
Benji has been a defensive liability for years only his brilliance has kept him in the team...Madge builds his team on defensive structures and Benji hasn't fulfilled what Madge wants, hence the time spent on the pine...
So all the Benji lovers and JR baggers attack me all you like...Madge has Benji on the pine for a reason,if Madge thinks its time to use Benji then that will be his decision ...he is the coach...

It's ironic that you're posting your comments about leaving the team selection decisions to Madge, in a topic about the fans selecting their team.

Still, maybe the irony escapes you.

Since you're, no doubt, a a highly credentialled RL coach (as opposed to us keyboard coaches), I'm surprised you have time to read and comment.

We all have opinions TigerTragic,I don't get into making unrealistic team selections just to satisfy curiosity so to speak,eg I could suggest swapping players and bringing other players in especially young guys unproven in NRL..but where does that leave me,guessing who plays where and second guessing the coach...Im all in favour of people suggesting teams to play the next game,as Im all for people having good discussions on the topic, however I would like to see this team keep performing in a tough 80 minute game and building toward finals football and that inevitably is up to the coach,he probably wouldn't care what I selected or suggested when it comes to the crunch, but by all means discuss what your preferences are,and hopefully if the coach picks someone you don't like or want you will take his selections as the best choice to keep the team performing well..

There is no irony in my posts,I could have selected a number of changes as I love rugby league and have played it at a very strong level, that doesn't make me a coach or expert in the game..however I have been on this forum for a number of years and have seen the criticism given when your posts or comments don't suit others...
