start Tuilagi and bring Tuki Simpkins onto the bench if Blore is injured. M'Bye will keep his spot whether we like it or not. Roberts was horrendous in the centres but anything's better than Nofo on that wing right now. Luciano isn't up to it from a defensive point of view.

I pretty much agree with this team, except I couldn't have Mbye there. He was so bad last game and just looked disinterested. Was just jogging all game. Bring Madden in or move AD back to 6.

If Talau makes the team.... we're a joke.

Talau is a wasted space. He has been a liability all season,

You can see it.
I can see it.
Even @TheDaBoss can see it and he only started watching footy a few years ago.

Why can't the coach see it?
Is our roster that bad, we have no other option?

Talau has never been a first grade player and persisting with him is just a waste of space and time.

Ive just read a bunch of posts about not wanting/picking lazy uncommitted players.
Ive just read a bunch of posts about wanting to develop our juniors.
Ive just read a bunch of posts that there is not enough talent in the squad to be winning many games.
And ive just read a bunch of posts saying this season is over let's focus on next season.

Now i think Talau has been underperforming. And if he were the only thing holding us back from winning games id be all for dropping him.

But maybe he is the best trainer, he is still a young player who has come through our system and is working to improve his game. He is also contracted for next year and plays a position where we are weak and have players coming off contract.
Maybe what the coach sees is a player who can address all the above points.

Issue is the centre selections - tbh dont care who gets picked in our other positions it's here that we are severely lacking talent in.

Talau can't catch a pass, too many errors in his game + doesn't know how to pass.

Roberts, can't defend + doesn't know how to pass.

AD gets one spot but I worry for the side either of the above two slot into.

100% correct. Madge has given Talau and Roberts enough chances. Talau in turn has shown that he is not yet at first grade level.

Unfortunately Roberts has shown that he is no longer, and won't ever be again at first grade level. To select these two players in first grade Madge would be foregoing any trust Wests tigers have provided him as their coach.

We don't need superstars to replace these two players. We only need capable defensive oriented players with heart and intelligence to replace them.

I would basically go with this team. Perhaps another centre besides the Jet? Someone who can tackle. More than anything I want to see good line speed and players trying to cover gaps in defence this week.

Luciano and Garner both defend ok on the left but horrendously on the right. Long term I think we Tuilagi on the right and play one of the other two off the bench.
