Marsters was good but where do you play him. I assume he is an edge player and he will get his chance in the backrow at some point. I suppose you could play him in the centres.

If we only played one hooker I'd play Marsters as the backrow option on the bench.

No, not centres - we would lose a strong candidate for a high-impact player off the bench. Agree backrow option off the bench. Until he gets to know NRL defensive patterns then we will see.

He is clearly a strong runner but had some defensive lapses but then again we looked a little chaotic on the defensive side. It appeared that Esan and Tui were not familiar with Ivan's patterns. There was one moment when Esan moved in and Tui moved forward to stop Widdup and lo and behold a big hole opened up for Frizell. I don't fault either player because it was clear that they appeared to be following instructions -
they lacked communications. Both will improve over the season.

Lack of communication wasn't the issue, Masters going inside against his own defensive calls to others was. Tui did his job on that one.

Lawrence tore the same hamstring that he injured earlier in the season. Doubt he will be back anytime soon.

Marsters has to stay. MCK, Littlejohn, Kevin N, Grant are very weak in the defensive department. Little wonder we lost.

Taylor is a tackling machine. Worth more money.

JJ needs a rocket up his backside. He is big enough but does not seem to have the fire in the belly for first grade.

With Lawrence out for some time I think it'd be good to have Eisenhuth given a crack in the top grade.

For what I saw last year in MCK he played his best football in the backrow coming off the bench. Now since Lawrence will most probably not playing I'd give him a go starting there.

Roosters is our bogey team, we havent won against them since Rnd 20, 2011\. Roosters have scored 30+ points in all games since then.
