Your team vs souths

With someone like Reddy, we know what we are going to get and thats at best - SOLID. Someone who will take the bombs, make some hit ups etc. Will score if someone puts him over the line.

We also know we will get zero pace and abysmal defense with Reddy.

14\. Bell
15\. Moors
16\. Cashmere
17\. Meaney

I would go with this.

If Moltzen is out Humble to half, Meaney to the back and Masada to the bench

I think everyone needs to understand that Sheens selection philosophy has always been to pick players from his top roster regardless of form. This ensures that players are picked from as small a pool as possible and this view was reinforced by winning in 2005.Unfortunately this is why the same old players get picked time and again regardless of form so expect to see Reddy picked over any up and coming lower grade possible star ! Regardless of who gets picked if Marshall doesn't learn to play running football again,it's going to be a long night.http://www.weststigersforum.com/forum/posting.php#

Moltzen will be out for a week - too much risk.
Lawrence will be a Syndesmosis tear of the upper ankle (same as what Gareth and Lote did last year) - unfortunately this will be a 4-6 week injury
BMM - unsure depends if an impact fracture or just bruising, i would suggest a week minimum

I dont think anyone would realise the duress they would have been under last night in the second half. Anyone bagging effort has obviously not been in that physical or mental state before. Very difficult to perform and it does make decision making more difficult. In the case of key playmakers like Benji and Robbie concentration falters and mistakes happen - it is science. Watch the Olympics this week or the Tour de France - many elite athletes will suffer the same. I remember Rafa Nadal, Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic in tennis having similar issues for years.

Stick by the team, they put in an almighty performance last night and were unlikely not to jag a result despite the hardship.

I doubt Tim Sheens will look to debut any players when the team is in fatigue such as this. He needs experienced heads given the short turnaround, not a massive change. Remember we were not that far away from the Cowboys, who are a class side.

Team as a result will be:

1\. Ryan
2\. Utai
3\. Ayshford
4\. Reddy
5\. Simona
6\. Marshall
7\. Humble
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Blair
11\. Ellis
12\. Fulton
13\. Heighington

14\. Moors
15\. Iosefa
16\. Bell
17\. Cashmere
18\. Meaney

I hope we don't see certain changes, such as in the halves but i'll be happy so long as we have:

1\. Moltzen/(Ryan if out)

6\. Marshall

9\. Farah

Now as for who plays 7, I'm hoping it's not Robbie and i'm also hoping it's not Moltzen. I'd give Humble or even Miller. Humble by all reports has played well for Balmain in the past few weeks. Seems a no brainer actually.

Now with Lawrence out for a period, Ryan looms as the logical replacement. Sheens will more than likely hand Reddy the wing spot but why not hand Koroibete a chance on the wing. His pace would be an asset although i'm not sure about his defence. Perhaps someone is able to shed light on that?? Basically i don't think Reddy's form warrants automatic selection and perhaps he'd be better utitlized off the bench.

14 Iosefa
15 Rhino
16 Cashmere
17 Moors

That looks good for mine. Would like to see how Chisholm goes.

My team.

1\. Reddy - only because Moltzen is playing 7 in my team.
2\. Nofoaluma or Koriobete - We don't have much choice - and please Sheens, Meaney is not a choice.
3\. Ryan
4\. Ayshford
5\. Utai
6\. Marshall
7\. Moltzen
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Blair
11\. Ellis
12\. Fulton
13\. Heigno

14\. Bell.
15\. Moors
16\. Cashmere
17\. Iosefa.

18\. Humble

In all honesty it's not a bad team when you read through it. Moltzen NEEDS to take the game by the scruff - show us why we've signed you for 3 more years, Tim.

Chisolm is not an option I am afraid.

His hand injury is still worrying him and it is/at least was in his last two turn outs in his head especially in terms of defence. You cant put him in under that situation I feel

I really don't want to see Farah named in the halves with Iosefa starting at hooker. It's the whole "why weaken one position to strengthen another".

Give Miller a go. We need someone who can control the team. Humble won't do this - he'll simply play catch and pass.

Maybe Siro's injury may move Benji back to 6?

Ahh you see but Humble does control a team when given an opportunity. He has steered BRET to two very fine wins. Kicking a field goal, several 40/20's and taking the line on when called for, running 2nd and 3rd man structures and just steering the ship

I'd love to see Humble do that in FG - or Miller for that matter.

however with Marshall calling the shots, the only other person who would be a viable chance of doing that would be Moltzen.

In the few games Humble played in the halves he wasn't given the chance. Id love to see him do it. Even Siro has been directing some of the play lately.

We really need to keep Farah at hooker. Our structure fell to pieces last night

As long as Marshall is not at 7 and Reddy is playing State Cup I am happy.

Humble should be number 7 and allowed to call the shots.

Watch this team get picked. I cannot believe with the amount of injuries that it's still a possibility that there is no debutants.

3- ayshford
4- reddy
5- utai
6- Benji
7- humble
8- woods
9- farah
10- Blair
11 Ellis

14 moors
15 bell
16 iosefa
17 cashmere

18 who knows this week but we might need a 19th and 20th man this week as well.

Still a fair team capable of winning even with injuries to so many!

Foxsports, Daily telegraph have the same story on Benji. As well as a thread in the V Souths area.
