Your team vs Storm

Faatape will be back, I remember benji saying in the press conference the only reason he didn’t play last night was he had a funeral to attend

Good riddance to Naden, he’s had 3 hot cracks and hasn’t impressed at all imo… but benji seems to love him so who knows
Didn’t love him last year 😊

Our middles have been amazing, probably one of the best in the comp. We shouldn't do anything different to what we have done this year. Play our game and try to contain their speed on the flanks.
That is spot on. We should focus on developing an overall game plan to defeat the storm but apart from making decions to shift early, or attack specific points on the field we have to focus on what we can actually control. We have a defensive plan that we went away from last week and we suffered for it. Having said that last week was also the first week that our attack didn't look clunky and our right edge wasn't so sideways.

For this week I think it is a matter of playing to our strengths; keeping it simple, early shifts, make the most of our second/third phase play, trust and execute the defensive system and scramble hard.

We will win game on efforts on effort. Melbourne are definitely beatable. We aren't Canberra so no use trying to be. What we can take out of that game though is that if we are up in Melbourne's face in defence we can keep the scoreboard in check. The issue for us should be outscoring them with a makeshift backline; we have a style that may unsettle their defence so while not confident I have not written us off.

The only way we’re competitive in this game is if we’re full strength. With Harry grant likely in and our injuries in the backs we’ll do well to not get flogged. If faatape is anywhere near first grade we’ll get hammered.

We have serious depth issues !
Dragons put 60 on our reggies team OMG
Cant see any of them stepping up to NRL level
So each week we need to put our best 17 on the park
Staines impressed so think he can hold the fort till Skelton gets back
So my team vs Storm is same as last weekend
Would like to get a fit Latu back as well

I’ll cop some crap for this but Pole needs to tidy a few things up, I have Sione Fainu getting close to his starting spot. Fan of Pole but want to see less drops and missed tackles from him. Also play the ball, quit complaining to the ref.
Huge fan of Pole. Could be anything & I think he's made steps this season towards establishing himself as a legit starting prop. He's not there yet, and your criticism is valid. The only way to become better is by acknowledging any weakness & working to improve.

I want to see him come off the back fence most times, and then beat the markers to their feet, he could be talked about for rep honours if he works that out.

Spencer Leniu type potential.

Best possible outcome is Storm still without Grant and Warbrick and
Jerome Hughes seemed to have damaged shoulder and maybe they rest him
Biggest worry is if we have Turuva and Staines vs Coates and Warbrick
With a major height difference

When he does get his running game right, he's hard to handle & it must take a toll on the defence. He's got good footwork which helps at times but needs to get the balance right. He sometimes regresses a bit and starts to take the ball flat footed, relying on a step & jink. Hard & straight, room for the finesse later on.

Exactly. I think he’s got a lot of love for his late footwork and now he thinks that’s his strength. Getting forward momentum for the team needs to be his first thought.

Staines or Nadan but certainly not Faatape.

If each player was to show their best, Faatape is a clear third.

Similar to having Toa in the team. It's about potential

Reward for Sione’s strong form and think Pole and Hunt coming on together could be handy against a strong opponent. Maybe a lift for Samuela starting with older bro?
