I have to say I do have a bad feeling about this game.....it'd be just like us to lose to a team that hasn't won in a calendar year....

I rather be playing them after a few wins too. It stinks of an upset.

I left the Garner on the right to help Benji in defence and LL on the left to add a bit more attack to the left.
Musgrove to start for (controlled) aggression
Mikaele to the bench for impact
Seyfarth deserves another go on the bench
MacIntyre to the bench as centre/lock/2nd row cover. If Rowdy is defence and MCK is attack, hopefully McIntyre can do both.

There were some issues with the last game, it certainly wasn't a dominant win. We have a squad of 30 and no Canterbury Cup. We know what Clarke, Lawrence and MCK offer, I would rotate players in positions where someone hasn't nailed it down. It is bad for the combinations but good for keeping the squad eager and fighting for spots. I wouldn't mess with the current spine, that needs time to improve.

I think we need some forward punch off the bench and Musgrove provides that over Clarke. Willing to give Seyfarth another go but he needs to do provide more impact. Happy to stay with Rowdy and Billie.

Also I think BJ is such a defensive liability - teams are going to attack us on that side and we are going to leak points

The way the game is evolving under these new changes there is more emphasis on speed, mobility and stamina - maybe there will be less room in teams for the really big men who get caught out under fatigue. The move for Twal to lock has tightened up our middle and maybe Seyfarth off the bench offers more than Musgrove in this respect.

Feel for momirovski. He is a real footballer but seems a fish out of water. Too slow for outside backs, too small for 2nd row. Where does he go? Serious question: has he played 5/8?
